What could be more fiery than a red accessory? No matter what you wear, it stuns people when there is a red accessory to added your outfit such as a pair of red shoes or a red bag. Its always a head turner, you are guaranteed a second or even third look by any fashionista.
I have always been one who is in love with earth tones or monochrome but recently, just like the metallics, for some strange reason, I am obsessed with not anything but specifically a red bag. Lately, all I see is white, red and black. These are the three colours that attract me whenever I enter a store. A few years ago in NYC, I stumbled on a red Kate Spade bag, which I liked and thought it would add a pop of colour to my dull closet. Little did I know that this bag would be forever neglected and just kept in its dust bag ‘waiting’ for an occasion to be carried. Don’t get me wrong, I did carry it… a few times but I immediately put it back in its dust bag and moved on to the next one. I am the type of person that gets bored easily but that was not the case but I saw that having such a big red handbag was just not me, it didn’t fit to my personality. Eventually, after a number of years, I decided to just give it away and it made me super happy to do that because first I have now space for another bag in my closet and second, it didn’t feel like such a burden on my shoulders (literally speaking as well).
Given the fact that I have been obsessing over red bags lately, I recently requested the SA at Dior to look into perhaps ordering a small (mini) red lambskin Lady Dior with gold hardware at the price of euro 2,300.
