lois lane is such a hypocrite and i love her for it.
so in the interview scene, loisβ main point is that clark didnβt think through the repercussions of his actions, which is true! she has a pretty valid point and itβs the whole reason why people were growing skeptical of superman. his actions clearly had very controversial consequences, that fact is literally pointed out multiple times in the movie. however, lois also claims that if she were in his position, she would question herself and try to figure out what she should do in terms of going about it legally. she questions clark on all the politics and all the uncertainty surrounding superman and implies that he went about the situation all wrong because there were so many other things to consider.
all this to say, when lois sets off to find clark after he turns himself in, she immediately does what she does best and investigates. after (thanks to eve) finding out about the pocket universe, she goes straight to the hall of justice to gain the help of the justice gang. there, she listens to them tell her that the consequences were too big for them to deal with, that itβs too risky to break a βfederally incarcerated prisoner out of jail.β despite their clear refusal, she argues back telling them that clark is their friend, that the consequences shouldnβt be good enough to keep them from trying to save him. guy gardener specifically maintains the argument that lois was so set on during her interview. yet, now that sheβs in the position where she is responsible for saving clarkβs (and indirectly many many other peopleβs) life, sheβs dedicated to getting help and itβs clear that she wouldβve kept trying my herself even if mr. terrific didnβt decide help.
lois is stubborn and thatβs what makes her a good joirnalist. once she sets her mind to something, she wonβt back down until sheβs satisfied. this is shown in both the interview and the way sheβs the one who goes to save clark. both instances show off how persistent she is but they also both depict lois in completely opposite stances. i think this really gives her character so much depth and gives us an inside look to how much she truly cares about clark despite her adamantly claiming that she was going to break up with him.

this is crazy like we were literally meant to be friendsπππ
can someone please explain to me what people mean when they say that haley died because hotch couldnβt get over his ego? like i genuinely donβt understand what they mean by thatπ
chercia is so jemily and it actually makes me sick
both of them being best friends who stick together through thick and thin, having a connection that they canβt quite decipher. the denial of being in love with your best friend and the fear of acknowledging their sexualities. the idea of staying friends for the sake of not risking the loss of their person. and then jj losing will and cherry losing bob and both of them seeking comfort in the one person who has always been there. oh my god i just love them so bad.

bev, who grew up listening to her parents talk about what that greaser did at the grocery store today.
bev, whose parents would take her home the second they saw greaser kids come to the park because they βjust wanted to keep her safeβ and she βshouldnβt be hanging around such dirty childrenβ
bev, who remembers the girl with the scraped knees that she used to play with in first grade until she realized that her friend was one of those kids that her parents would tell her to stay away from
bev, who has a rocky relationship with her parents
bev, who knows deep down that greasers really arenβt all that bad and constantly has to overrule her second guessing by looking towards those who feed into the stereotypes on a surface level
bev, who believes that greasers are bad because if theyβre not bad then itβs just another way her parents fucked her over
bev, who stubbornly sticks with these prejudices anyway because no matter how much she hated her parents, at least she could use the idea of them protecting her as a way to lie to herself and convince herself that they do care in some capacity
i donβt remember where it was, but i saw someone questioning how jj and will were able to have two kids while haley and hotchβs marriage couldnβt manage one and just want to put my two cents in because iβve been sitting on it for weeks.
(before you read: i didnβt proofread this so excuse any errors and this is all just what i believe)
alright, so obviously, a huge factor is how hotch is a #workaholic but first i want to mention the fact that will also works in law enforcement. like heβs literally a detective that jj (and the rest of the team) met while working on the same case. he not only understands the crazy hours, but also the emotions that come with the job.
onto the workaholicness of aaron hotchner, a major aspect of why hotch was so driven to working so much was the guilt that he felt from not being present on a case. in his mind, the idea of something going wrong could so easily be chalked up to the fact that he wasnβt there or the fact that he wasnβt working as hard. of course he loves his family but when his job is to literally be out saving peopleβs lives, he feels responsible for any deaths that happen so he tries his hardest to prevent that by always being present at work. something that i donβt see people talking about enough is the fact that he is unit chief. heβs not just another member of the team like he is literally the boss. hotchβs high position definitely adds a lot more weight to the guilt he has looming over him and when he was suspended, the team literally did what they could to bring him back which only couldβve solidified all of these thoughts in his head.
moving onto haley, as far as we know and from what it seems like, she never had a job anywhere close to hotchβs. this means that she knows in theory the gruesome things that hotch sees, but i believe that guilt like that isnβt truly understandable unless you are someone who works in a career like that and holds that same feeling. (also keep in mind that i am a haley defender until the day i die) due to hotchβs mentality, distancing himself from his job is a lot harder than she thinks because she doesnβt truly understand the weight of it in his head. she doesnβt have the ability to connect with or understand hotch on that level. when they argue and hotch says βthis is who i amβ, i really donβt think haley understands the feeling that heβs trying to convey to her and hotch being so emotionally unavailable (sorry king), he doesnβt make an effort to help her get what heβs trying to say. i truly believe that if he were better at explaining the guilt that clouded his mind, she couldβve at least tried to help him ease some of the heaviness of it. instead, he shut her out and left her in the dark.
now, as for will and jj, jj doesnβt have to explain to will all the hardships that sprout from the job because he knows firsthand what itβs like. heβd known for way longer than he even knew jj. because they are able to understand each other in that way, they probably didnβt have many arguments like haley and hotchβs. i think they were able to be there for each other when the guilt felt overbearing, allowing them to remind each other that they are not responsible for any deaths that may happen whether they were there to see it or not. this connection let them hold each other up so neither of them spiraled into a mentality similar to hotch. since they were able to keep each other sane (or as sane as they can be), it helped them balance their family with their respective jobs. haley and hotch didnβt have that kind of relationship because of haleyβs lack of understanding hotchβs perspective and hotchβs reluctance towards opening up about it.
in some ways i think haley was so caught up in her anger that she never tried too hard to see hotchβs side and because of this, she saw hotch as a dad who doesnβt care about their family as much as she did. however, i do think she was brought to that point of anger due to hotchβs lack of communication about how he feels. while she never exactly tried to coax it out of him, her expressing the frustration she felt towards his absence were multiple opportunities for him to open up about how he feels and he never took it. on the other hand, her yelling βthis is what you doβ in response to him and capping it at that shows that she never looked past the surface level of his words and as that was the closest we saw hotch opening up to haley about the job, it made this part of their dynamic very clear. she couldβve used that as an opening to reassure him that heβs not responsible for the people dying but she didnβt because how could she have known that he needed it? she was too focused on his leaving and he was too closed off to tell her how he felt.
ok this was a lot and now my brain is all over the place and i feel like iβll stop making sense if i keep going so iβm cutting it off here
tldr jj and will work out because they are both in law enforcement and haley and hotch donβt because only one of them do
anyway i love hotch and haley so much and their relationship rots my brain bye

When Pony wants affection from Darry but really, really doesnβt want to admit it.
Maybe heβs trying to stay mad at Darry for not-at-all silly argument they had, or heβs decided heβs too grown to cuddle with his big brother, or heβs mad about a fight where Darry refused to acknowledge that heβs grown.
Then Darry will ruffle his hair or tuck Pony into his side or pull him into his lap, and Pony will snuggle into Darryβs hold like βhmph this is nice π β
