for those who just start khr: trust me, it gets better. the manga and anime were originally made to make fun of the usual shonen genre. but as time went on, people loved it so much that the author took it seriously

it turns into this beautiful story of finding family through the ones you meet, and how when you surround yourself with the ones you love, with those who respect you and lift you up, you find strength through them

#yeah #there are many things to criticize about khr #but something about the characters and the setting just grabs you by the brain stem and never lets go #the key to watching all of the daily life arc without skipping is #1) dont look up a filler episode guide. thats cheating #2) preemptively pick a favorite character based on vibes #3) do it for him/her/them.png #i started watching khr for mukuro but i didnt know what episode he appeared in #20 episodes of ‘when is the purple-haired earring-wearing guy gonna get here’ were so worth it (not kidding)

the thing that bothers me with 7 deadly sin based characters is when they cant decide if they embody the sin by suffering from it or by drawing it out of others. ie. if your gluttony demon is a guy who loves eating then your lust demon should be a gooner sex pest. and if your lust demon is a seductive girlboss then your gluttony demon should be a 5 star chef. does this make sense.

#varia #amano akira does the secret third thing and just has the most tangential relation to the 7 deadly sins #i think khr character design is really good and mostly because amano did whatever the fuck she wanted #in assigning the most nonsensical and lame gag anime traits to her cast she succeeded where others would fail #merely by having character design that is so bad that it circles right back around and is good #do you understand what i'm saying #khr is a masterpiece of the most random failed comedy series writing converted into surprisingly entertaining shounen
