Frostfire Fjord, Clan Audun

EqoJyn I really adore the accent, and the colour scheme. There’s a proper variation in the blues, and the gold works super well as a regal accent. I’m trying to be really selective on the dragons I pick because you have so many that are worth a review each. But she just has a really lovely flow to her, coming from her pose and the apparel she has. She’s just an all around gorgeous dragon.

Adara I know a girl with this name. I’m pretty sure she hates me. I can only hope that this lovely girl would be the opposite! As the coordinator, I hope that she would like the way I keep things organized. (If not my procrastination...) The overall colour scheme is a win for me, right down to the bit of green on her ankle, eye, and the accent. A very elegant looking dragon. I could certainly see her giving orders to ensure whatever event is on goes smoothly. She would definitely look over her glasses at people too, like Dumbledore. Also just noticed the diamond shapes that climb her wings. Really blends in well with the butterfly gene!

Lemnaceae Would love to know how to pronounce her name. Either way, solid. Really love the way you’ve made her look really ‘windy’ despite using the heavy looking apparel. She also looks very nature like, and looking at it now, that’s definitely what you meant for her to be. (The book, the eyes, how could I have thought wind?) I like that her face is set apart from the rest of her by the accent. I think it really makes her antlers and eyes pop. It actually looks like its an entire skull she is wearing, rather than just the antlers. 

Nexhua Another green boy. Rather, very grey scale boy with green apparel. The accent works especially well here. Not the first time i’ve thought it, I wish the banner didnt have that corset-ey piece on the back. After looking at him long enough, his wings actually start to look a bit green with the accent on top. I really love him. And you really have a mastery as far as the “quieter” apparel goes. The bangles and the earrings and such. Somehow you manage to make them quite visible on otherwise busy dragons.

Tarja Not sure if you’ve seen Rise of the Guardians but this is Pitch personified. Dragonified. And genderbent. She is absolutely the Nightmare Queen and honestly I’d be more than a bit terrified to even be in her presence. Wish we had some lore to go off of. Maybe she’s actually a sweetie and just looks like she could freeze a volcano with a glare. The apparel is subtle and I appreciate that. The feathers give the ridgeback pose some flow, which does her well. The accent helps gradient the body into the wings, and tbh I just want her in my own lair. I’m quite envious. (Also makes me think of the song Think by Kaleida for some reason)

Yolkai Ugh. This right here. I’m about to put up a call for any female snappers for sale, because I want more in my lair thanks to you. I’m typically not a fan of triples. But there are a few colours that have other colours in them with some genes, if you know what I mean. And so copper really works. Which in turn matches to the apparel you’ve given her astonishingly well. I’ve also never seen a headdress of either of those sets together, but they work really well. The accent as well, for that matter.

Gabriel Okay so it was physically painful for me to go to the next page of your lair without this boy. I LOVE that he isn’t a super dark and monotonous primary. The opposite spectrum colours of red and green really pull him together with the addition of the gold and light underbelly. I love spirals for their eyes, and I especially love the male spiral pose. (Also his art? Is gorgeous? Beyond words?)

Geta Really, really like the shadow and green for some reason. Honestly I feel like it shouldn’t work, but I think that it does! The addition of the blue keeps it from being too much, and I think it really mellows out the otherwise very stark difference between the shadow primary and the silks.

Shyish Solid name. Really dig the lace on him. Compliments the secondary colour from the poison really nice. And the bright red from the butterfly gives it that accent colour I think it really needs. Keeps him from being way too monotonous and dark. I wonder if you’re done dressing this boy or if you still have plans. Honestly I wouldn’t give him too much more than what you have. Potentially some smaller pieces, but with his genes I feel like it might get too busy. Sometimes less is more!

Ocima Not one for pinks, I’ll admit. But of all of them I find rose to be the least offensive. It also goes with a lot more because of how subdued it is, especially with the iri/shim combo you have going on here. Really love the arcane eyes too!  Again, like with Geta, I think the use of the blue silk dress actually gives the whole dragon a much greater appeal than a pink or violet one would have. The pose for the female imperial draws your eye along the body, and the way everything gradients on this girl really adds to that.

Thjalfi I haven’t yet seen Smirch on a dragon that I liked. This is the first exception. As a personal rule I think that crystal needs to be covered up to a degree with apparel or with accents. But the smirch really helps with that! Very curious to see what kind of apparel you pick for this one :)

Shalkoth Just reeally loving the colours on him. Not sure what I make of him or if he even reminds me of anything. Potentially a pain palette, when you mix red with blue. You get that dusky purple on the wings. Again, really don’t, know what your plans are for him, but I would love to check him out when you’re done!

Canebreak Man, idk what is is with you and handsome spirals, but I’m not complaining. Love his colours! The goldenrod is actually just green enough without being too close that all his colours get pulled together. Definitely see him as some kind of outback type character. Think Crocodile Dundee. I think you meant for him to be more dapper, but that’s the vibe that I get!

LunarMoon Oh I love him! He’s absolutely gorgeous. The okapi really works here because of how dark it is, so the stripes are definitely more subdued. Leaves the primary colour to take over most everything, and I really like how ‘separated’ the head is from the rest. Really draws attention to his eyes. I almost wish they were Light. I really dig the playful, kind mirror type! Mostly they’re playful or deadly or both. But in this case, (While I don’t doubt he could be deadly) he’s just the friendly neighborhood mirror :) Constantly playing with the kids. Probably sneaking them snacks and relatively harmless toys and familiars from his travels. 

Blitz I love him. So very, very lightning. I actually like that his tertiary for the crackle isn’t as bright as the neon lightning on the coat. I imagine that when he is working, angry, or has a surge of emotion, that the crackle lights up as bright as his coat. And in fact, crackles. His lore is pretty awesome too! Having him as a beast tamer must make things pretty exciting for your clan.

Shepard She is just too gorgeous. The accent really does it all, I think. And I’m very glad she isn’t overdressed. Making an accent and apparel work well together is a bit of a practice, I think, and you’ve done it really well. Maybe it’s because I’ve been playing Diablo recently, but to me, I almost think of her as a demon queen. Definitely elegant and easily bringing other dragons into her traps by using herself as bait, and finally, as executioner. (The plague eyes definitely give me the demon vibe too!)

CrystalCanyon I really love male tundras. And I especially love their floofy hair. Not much lore for this boy! But I dig that he’s a subspecies. Tundra always look so gentle to me. This boy looks toasty warm! A good boy to cuddle beside a fire with a good book! I don’t see speckle too much anymore so it’s nice to see it on a dragon that really makes it work!

Ahio Looks just too good to be real. I can totally see him being the calmest of the bunch. He looks like the kind of guy to have a house that’s pretty minimalist, with maybe, an aquarium and very concrete/many plants sort of look. I really wish we could have the wind smoke wisps without the mask to be honest, I’d love to see his face better. Makes me think of Haku from Spirited Away.

swampthing Just an all around gorgeous dragon. The skincent works well without hiding too much of her. I enjoyed her bit of lore! Poor wildclaw. The apparel you’ve picked works really well for her, and any time I see the aztec pieces I get jealous! I’ve seen them on a few dragons here and there, but this is easily the best use of them. I also just noticed the autumn leaves. A subtle touch, and an appreciated one. She looks deadly. I imagine that the wing chimes across her back are the last thing you hear before you’re disemboweled. 

Dionysus Man, what a cutie! I say cutie, but he definitely looks like he could kill me just by meeting my eyes. Love his colours. I’ve said it a thousand times, but earthy tones are the way to my heart, and this boy delivers. Really love the smoke at his feet; sells the spirit vibe. Even without it though I think he would look quite ethereal. He has a sort of vagabond look to him too, which suits his lore quite well. I wouldn’t want to see those glowing green eyes peeking at me from the forest shadows, though. Too spooky for me.

Fafnir Gold and red and black. A long time, always award-winning classic. Really dig the accent on her, it compliments her natural colours really well. The blood red gives her a brighter look, furthered by the addition of the gold. Also makes me think of a lavish space, potentially with lots of silks and soft flames dancing on the walls. The gold on her back almost looks like scarring rather than tattoos or markings. The genes for her were well selected, too.

Glyph Not big on pinks, I’ll be honest. I find them way too bright and gentle for most dragons. But this girl makes it work! Love how the skink gives the darker primary colour with the pink as its accent. Might look super cool with some kind of glowing clawtips. Apparel wise, lots of event apparel. Actually looks good together, I wouldn’t have thought to combine those pieces. Bognsneaks always look. Well. Sneaky. But her desire to play music and doing fortune telling makes me think she is probably way more trustworthy than most. It might be cool to invest in one of the gem-market instruments for her!

Toxicity I’m also a diehard WoW player. Or used to be. Illidan was always my favourite. These are his colours, and I am super appreciative of any dragon who has them. Not unlike smoke, crackle is a gene I see probably, the LEAST. It just doesn’t work with many of the other gene combos. I think her, because its light on dark, it really works. It’s also not too much, in no small part because of the black coat. I’m curious to know more about him though. I get that he is radioactive, but his motivations are a bit cloudy. He likes experimentation. But what kind of alignment is there? (Dig the art too!)

Raine Goooosh I’m in love. This kind of pink is about as far into that spectrum as I would go. It’s perfect as the accent colour, and works especially well with the attire you’ve given her. The gold still gives me the impression of autumn, and I’m actually visualizing a sunset when I look at her. She’s a singer and I can totally see it. Unless you hear her voice, you won’t know what serenity sounds like. And when you do hear it, it’s impossible to describe. 

Rinoa

My heart has a soft spot for tundras. Especially nature ones, because I feel like I don’t see enough of them. I often think of them as having moss growing out of their fur, perhaps in place of fur altogether. Looks very much camo, and would easily be very stealthy during hunts. I also like the idea that she hangs out in the aviary. Staying still would definitely be an asset as a ranger, so staying still enough that birds would be comfortable landing on her is neat!

Ketut Gives me an instant Nile vibe. I could totally see him running his resort as happy as punch. The hibiscus flowers I only just noticed, actually. Now I’m definitely getting a far more tropical, Hawaii-type feeling. I bet he has a vast collection of shells somewhere, and knows the very best places on the beach if your looking for privacy. I think it would be cool to have a story of him discovering a seaglass beach. I also think its awesome how you are using a piece of the heaviest, ‘warmest’ looking clothing and still have it pull off as a fair weather, tropical attire!

Maars I’m a total sucker for any earthy tones. Especially umber. His apparel and accent match super well. The iridescent was a super smart choice imo, because it makes him less of a two-colour dragon and makes him three. Even just that bit of violet gives some good depth to his colours. Looking at his dragon, I actually pictured him totally different from his art. Tall, lean, almost elf-like. But I have to say I am quite happy with how he actually looks! (And not just because he would totally be my type, lol) He’s big and strong and tattooed. Could probably kill with one punch, but he actually reminds me a bit of the King of Hyrule. A dominant figure, with really great theme music and a really strong stature. I’d be curious to see him decked out in armour vs his every day attire.

Otana Really, really love this dragon. I love the female snapper pose, and her primary is not actually a colour that’s high on my favourites. The saturated pinks and the white tree boughs really pull her together though, and again as with a lot of your dragons, less is more. She has one piece of apparel and I would honestly consider her well dressed. Even as minimal as the accent is, it really, really works. I’d love to read more about her when you have it done! Her art is really beautiful too. Not unlike Maars, I actually pictured her as a granny type. But the precious, life-giving, flower dancing type vibe I get from her art makes me smile! She seems the kind of person I would like to hang out with in a meadow somewhere. :)

Tyrane  Not much for dressing bogsneaks myself, so I don’t have many. I really love the way the skink matches the embroidery patterns on the apparel. Even the dark, dark, mulberry on her feet almost matches the gemstones. Not to mention the layering on her too, using the starlight cloaks darkest parts beneath the navy. I do like the addition of the faeries; it really sells the magicky look.

I like her art too! I wish there was more to the bio; though I’m sure you’re working hard on it like the others. The lore in your lair is just so impressive.

Atum He looks like such a good boy! Probably a grandpa? He looks like the kind of guy who could kick your ass, but is good enough not to do it until you’re an asshole. The accent/skin is sper nice and works well with the tarnishes armour. I’d be curious to know if you had this one custom made, because the eyes on the accent match his eyes perfectly. I would guess that he is an honourable sort, kind of like a paladin that way. That, or some kind of mercenary for hire? His armour reminds me of the Horned King from the Black Cauldron.
