I know my account's been more known for my Dreadrook posting, but I've been thinking about uploading my diff. fandom artworks here (i.e. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Wuthering Waves, etc.), for archiving purposes.

guilty pleasure confession: there's a somewhat-niche ship in the ATLA gang that I've always secretly liked since I first watched the show as a kid. Zuko and Toph. and the latest avatar aang movie has a shot of them that FINALLY fed my soul after nearly 2 decades of starvation 🤭

Life is short. Download the EPUB of your own AO3 fic and read it on your Kindle or tablet as if you aren't the author and you're a random reader stumbling upon the fic for the first time. Go on. Do it.

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but I fear that the "fanfics are written better than published novels" statement is beginning to become more and more false everyday. Because explain to me why people are complaining that simply being given tips to write dialogues "like this," instead of "like this" or "like this." (followed by X said) is apparently linguistic elitism? Like sure, other languages have it in different formats... but YOU ARE WRITING IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE!!! Is the bar for entry so low that critiques are being treated like a personal attack instead of a path to improvement???

The AO3 discourse on Twitter right now is actual hell. 30k likes for genuine disinformation??? Holy sh*t. Why did we ever introduce AO3 to normies.

I understand the feelings of new gen AO3 writers when they don't get enough kudos on a fic, but the sooner they realize that the platform doesn't NEED an algorithm—it is an ARCHIVE so you can write to your heart's will without thinking about the no. of likes and views—the better...
