A person who uses ai to study has no advantage over a person who is struggling. Do you how much water is wasted over these ai systems?
No I dont
Yes I have no advantage over anyone
If you have so much problem entertain me by coming as NON-anon
Kk anon
This is my last reply cuz mama raise no quitter
Hahaha
Btw. That's the same amount of water you use for bathing/washing. And why is bro so offended when someone is using AI for their studies 😭✌️
You do realise that the water can be re-treated and reused.
Anon! get some help
Generally, the water used to cool ai can't be reused.
Plus, in a day, these ai systems use up about 1 million litres to 19 millions litres of water.
Actually you're wrong, because any kind of water can be filtered and refined enough.
And many systems use the "internal loop" system where the same water is used.
It's heated and cooled down and used by the ai chips
The water used to cool these systems gets polluted with a ton of metals, which takes a lot of money and energy to remove.
Also the cleansing systems r usually inefficient when it comes to these kind of things which has the metal polluted water has a dangerous byproduct
To prevent frequent contamination, distilled water is used. And the cleaning systems are so good I bet, because if we can filter human waste into drinkable water, both in land and space.
The capital revenue is invested, so they mostly face profits, it's a cost for the benefit of the humans in most fields.
Energy is never wasted nor destroyed
Energy is never wasted nor destroyed, yes, but the water used in these systems is contaminated and polluted as i have already said. Sure, they can be re-used, but who would want to use water full of dangerous metals? This water also ultimately reaches rivers and oceans, further proving dangerous to wildlife and plants.
On top of that, ai also steals information and content created by actual human people. There have many instances where ai "artists" steal and modify actual art created by actual artists.
As I said, the "loop systems" use the same water throughout. They don't dump anything in the rivers. And the water is treated continuously just like the deoxygenated blood in animal veins. The water is treated heavily before being released. And we humans have facilities to protect our rivers very keenly.
And let's be honest, no one supports ai in literature and art.
But in different fields, it's a revolution, ai is helping in cancer detection, helping the students of various fields like engineering, medicine.
It has saved humans from doing big calculations, simulations, prototypes etc.
And it's helping the students in the world, create notes, study more efficiently.
"And let's be honest, no one supports AI in literature in art." oh, how I wish! But, let's be real. Barnes and Noble, the fucking bookstore, has decided to start selling AI generated books. People are still using AI to generate images that they claim to be "art".
People are using GenAI to generate exposing images/videos of other people; I've people on the internet threaten to generate fake videos and images of people. No definite laws or guidelines are being applied (to my knowledge) by any of the powerful AI companies to stop people from doing this.
But not only that. AI is a "yes man". Whatever you say, it'll pretty much agree and egg you on. There was a literal lawsuit with the claims of ChatGPT telling a man to murder his mother and kill himself.
(the case is of Soelburg, from 2025.)
This man, Stein-Erik Soelburg, after his mental health took a turn for the worse, started talking to ChatGPT. ChatGPT, being a goddamn "yes man," reflected his own views back at him, confirming his delusions. At some point, he asked ChatGPT for a clinical evaluation which it then said that he was sane. And then, on August 5th, 2025, ChatGPT convinced this man that he should his mother then himself.
There are different types of AI, like the ones used in games to produce reactions or what would happen next based on actions taken by the user. These are predictable. They have pre-programmed outcomes that was input by a human.
Generative AI is not. Generative AI scrapes information from the information to output some Frankenstein-ed bullshit. And some of this information the original people haven't even surrendered to it. They did not agree on their art being used to train Gen AI.
And the environmental effects. The heat being released by data centres, the water being used up, the buzzing noise reported by residents; an attempt is not being made to somehow utilize this extra heat for heating or anything. We're already suffering from climate change. What point will cancer discoveries and diagnosis serve if there is no Earth to live upon?
Yes, AI has some advantages, and can do some things better the people can, and we cannot deny that.
Like, for example, AI is used in airport security now, to catch criminals as people can miss a lot of details that a machine may catch. And that IS preventing a lot of crimes.
But Generative AI is not doing that. And Generative AI is practically useless and an insult to humanity and intelligence of itself.
As Astra stated, AI is a major factor in climate change, and if there is no Earth to live on, NONE of this will ultimately matter. I could talk a lot more about this as I have studied about this specificaly, but since Astra pointed it out, I am going to leave it there.
And if "No one supports AI art and literature" then why the fuck does it still exist??? As a fact, Amazon Prime Video just greenlit and is offering to fund 3 fully AI generated films.
"And it's helping the students in the world, create notes, study more efficiently. " No it isn't. No the hell it isn't. It's making students lazier and dumber. An article that reviewed usage of AI to study among Singaporean students showed that a student said, and I quote "I can't do maths, so I don't really bother doing them. It's a wastage of time." You have to do something to learn it. Learn from your mistskes. Using AI is the same as getting someone to do the work for you (bonus points for destroying our beloved planet in the process!!) and you cannot "study" from that. When given a task, without the help of AI, said students will not be able to complete it. AI also completely destroys all critical thinking prospects as AI does the thinking for you. I have seen my friends use AI for questions in English class as simple as "If you were president for a day, what would you do?". The asnwer that he submitted was not what he would do if he were president, it's what Chatgpt would do. And that destroys his capability to think and answer questions such as this. And AI helps you take notes?? AI confidently gives you wrong information, and as stated before by others, is programmed to agree with you with whatever you say. If you ask AI what lungs are, the Bing AI automatically answers that it's a muscle. I have not searched it up, it's the new "AI overview" system that almost all browsers have recently put in place. There are plenty of websites out there that can make your learning easier, for example the ones I use, Khan Academy, where you can watch videos and complete excercises to practice and learn the material, and Quiziz, where you can create flash cards and view flash cards made by other PEOPLE on the topic. Also don't forget that Youtube exists, where a lot of people can easily summarize a topic. And if none of those work for you, there's a well-known concept called "GET A MOTHERFUCKING PAPER AND PEN OR A GOOGLE DOC AND ASK A TEACHER"
Using AI for literature, art, or studying is a dissappointment to humanity and any moral code that we may posess.
