it's kind of crazy that no one gives a fuck about claudia. except for when they're using her to absolve their own guilt or benefit their personal objectives. it was pointless and disturbingly out of character for louis to read claudia's private, and deeply personal pages to bruce, who absolutely does not give a fuck about her. and overlaying said reading with lestat's turning in an attempt to show a parallel between themβand therefore making the viewer sympathize with lestat, who was the real focus it seemsβwas once again taking the importance and spotlight away from claudia. even in death her autonomy is taken and she's being used as nothing more than a piece of everyone else's story. everyone wants to control claudia's narrative. she's never just claudia. in life or death.
