They lost their job this week, and they need money for rent, utilities, and living expenses. Luckily, a friend was able to loan them $55 to get their phone turned back on, so they can follow up on a promising job lead now, but they still have literally no money until they get the job and the paycheck.

Most urgently, they need about $200 for everyday living expenses (gas, food, wipes, diapers, baby Tylenol bc their baby is teething). The wifi bill ($70 to keep it on, $140 total) is due on May 3, rent ($1060) is due on May 7, and the power bill ($190 to keep it on, $483 total) is due on May 14. Less urgently, they will need pet food, and a new car seat and clothes for the baby.

I am Yousef. My wife and I have three young children: Lana (12 years old), Abdul Karim (8 years old), and Adam (3 years old). Two years ago, we were displaced, left without income or shelter.

Our home in Khan Younis was destroyed while we were inside, along with the clothing store that supported our family. Now, we live in a flimsy tent that doesn't even protect us from the elements, surrounded by scarcity and disease on the Gaza coast.

To help them evacuate and rebuild their lives, they are trying to raise £50,000. So far, they've raised only £7,083, not even one-tenth of their goal.

7 months have passed, and Saeed still doesn’t know what “home” means.

He was born displaced, growing up between fear and exhaustion instead of safety. We tried to return… we only managed to stay for one month, holding on to the hope of a simple life, but that hope didn’t last. The area became dangerous again, and our home was marked… then destroyed.
