One day the sky will be pale enough, so pale, that its paleness will shine. Is there then any other splendour than that of the greatest paleness?

by Sara Lorusso
Sara is a young photography and film student from Italy who centers her work in moving and personal images. With a delicate and soft style, her photography infuses calm, passion and creativity, profiting from daily objects and gentle scenes.
Next we want to present a short interview that we had with Sara to know more about her and her work:
am - First of all thank you very much for your contribution to our project. Can you please introduce yourself for us? SL - Hi, Iâm Sara Lorusso, 21 years old photographer from Bologna, Italy. I study Photography and Film at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna. I am a shy girl with long legs and pink hair.
am - How did you start in photography? SL - I started taking pictures by accident; my parents at the age of 18 gave me my first camera and did not even know where to put my hands, then slowly it became my way of expression, my life.
am - What inspires your work? SL - I photograph mainly because it is a need, in the future I would like to look at my photos and feel strong emotions in front of them, I would cry remembering a person who is no longer with me or I would smile for the beautiful days. For me it is essential to have a memory of how I was at a certain age, who I knew, where I was and with whom I shared my life.
am - Who are your favourite photographers / artists? SL - My favorite photographers are Nan Goldin, Rineke Dijkstra and Wolfgang Tillmans.
am - How would you describe your photographs in 3 words? SL - sensitivity, intimacy and delicacy.
am - When you are not taking pictures, what do you do? SL - Often when I walk or I see things I think of pictures I want to do, or I search on the net pictures of other people, otherwise I am with my boyfriend, who is also in this field and often recommends me and helps me with things. Besides being my boyfriend he is also a bit of my âart partnerâ.
am - If you could travel and stay in a place for one year, where would you choose to go? SL - I think I would choose Berlin, I have never been there but inspires me a lot, especially the artistic scene.
am - Favourite songs / bands at the moment? SL - Bjork and PjHarvey.
am - Whatâs your favourite movie? SL - This question always puts me in trouble, I start to think of all the good movies Iâve seen and I canât stop. So the majority of the time I say that I do not know, but today Iâll tell you one knowing that there are many others. Today itâs âCity of Godâ by Fernando Meirelles.
am - What are you reading at the moment? SL - Iâm reading Charlotte Cottonâs book: Â The photograph as contemporary art, because I love to study and learn more and more things about photography, history and other things.
am - Thank you very much for your time and your contribution to analog magazine. SL - Thanks to you, it was a pleasure for me.
Do not forget to see more of Saraâs work following the link on her name above.

My heart was falling now it's shattered, it's like a natural disaster We were fire and hope, now we're ashes and smoke, love burned out slow
Emily Hearn - Volcano LyricsÂ
Oh fill my past with regret, Wrap my present in brown paper, Fill my future with promises that promise to come later, Fill my heart with a stinging, Fill my heart with a fear of fear.
Fear of fear - Passenger
