Seriously I HATE ai

Just yesterday I have one of my professors accusing me of using ai/plagiarizing one of my assignments. Except I NEVER FUCKING DID

So I look at the assignment myself in turnitin and what I’m being accused of (as well as the majority of my class) are the questions and sources SHE PROVIDED TO US. TURNITIN IS HIGHLIGHTING THAT, NOT MY ORIGINAL WORK

It’s the fact that it’s happening to the majority of the class and she isn’t even QUESTIONING anything, she’s giving automatic zeros and offering for us to redo it again for PARTIAL POINTS because somehow in her mind the class banded together and used ai or plagiarized together

I sent her an email yesterday morning with proof and I still haven’t heard anything back. Love that my professors wants to fail my entire class for ai when none of us used it <3

Ai has genuinely caused so many issues especially in education. While there are some lazy stupid people who will genuinely use it to do all their assignments for them, so many people who do their own work are being accused despite not touching any form of ai. I keep hearing so many stories of this happening to people (myself included) and whilst most have thankfully been able to prove it’s their own work, there’s still a large majority who have been unable to prove it or their proof has been brushed off and they’ve either been made to resit it or kicked off their course.

Turnitin is NOTORIOUS for how bad their ai detection tool is, as there’s been numerous cases of it not flagging actual ai and instead flagging people’s own work as ai just because they write so well or use certain types of punctuation. It’s actually such a joke, ai is ruining the world and I’m sick of seeing people constantly engaging with and promoting it.
