Frankie Lennox

"That I can agree with. Sorry, I'm sure you're hoping someone older will tell you it gets easier," she said, giving her an apologetic smile. Life never seemed to get easier, even now when she was getting to her later years as a wolf.

"Truthfully, I prefer honesty." She said simply with a shrug of her shoulders. "I mean, I kind of figured that is life. You never know what is coming." Frankie was no stranger to that, the unpredictability of things. She didn't like it, but she had learned to pivot pretty well.

Hearing Frankie begin to excuse herself, Reed couldn't help but try one last time. "You're not, Frankie. I'm sorry if I made you feel that way-" he shook his head, "Like I said, I worry too much.. Maybe I can help but first, would you consider dancing with me? It's what most people seem to be doin' anyway..might as well make the most of this, right?"

"Well I mean, its nice that you worry. It means you care about the pub as much as I do. I'd probably be kind of peeved if I were you too." She admitted as she looked down at her shoes for a moment. His next question however surprised her. She looked him over cautiously. "O-okay, but you promise not to get mad or laugh at me when I step on your foot. Because the likelihood of that is like a 90% chance." She warned, wondering if this might sway him. "Just for transparency."

Still, the pensive look on the man's face is quick to change into a bright smile as he looks up to Frankie. Mild mannered amusement is clear in his features as he watches the other bartender wander off in a love stricken haze, before his gaze follows back to her. "Poor guy. I suppose we've all been there though, at some point." He notes with a soft shrug.

Running a finger along the condensation of his now empty glass, Kiran thinks for a second before speaking up again. "How about a whiskey sour?" He says with a slight tilt of his head, chuckling. "Although, I can't hold my drink like I used to. Too many of those, and I may end up a blubbering mess like your colleague. Probably a sign of a job well done on your end, though."

"Oh yeah, I can absolutely do a whiskey sour." She said as her hands immediately started to move, she began to make the drink as if it was second nature. Which truthfully it was. A laugh escaped her again as she listened to his words. "Well to be honest, that makes two of us." She placed the glass in front of him. Finishing with a garnish of cherry. She also filled a glass of water and place it beside the other drink. "But they say the key is to also always keep hydrated. That way the hangover doesn't sting so bad tomorrow."

She hummed as she rolled her shoulders back. Admiring her handy work she placed her hands on her hips. "And there we are! You have to let me know how it is." She encouraged as she bounced lightly on her heels. "Oh, and I'm Frankie by the way, general manager and substitute bartender." Frankie noted as she nodded her head. Waiting to see his reaction to her drink.

Flicking his gaze towards the crowd and back, Jaxon created some space between them and thought about what to say. "No..it's not, whatever that means. I'm just saying you should be careful, that's all. This ain't a regular party." Jax did not often watch films, but when he did..William picked them, which meant a lot of romcoms and some questionable animated stuff. Nevermind, he was getting off topic. The wolf ran his fingertips down his facial hair, dropping his shoulders in some attempt to relax. "Yeah, great..Who's watching the pub, Frankie? I thought it was your night."

She followed his eyes that flickered over the crowd. "Gotcha," she said with a nod of her head. She didn't know what that meant, that this wasn't a 'regular' party. That was fairly obvious from the falling snow, dancing, and costumes. The last real party she had been had no dress code and a shared boxed wine. He seemed stressed but trying to remain calm. "Gosh, have a little faith in me Jax, I got my shift covered, and you know if anything were to happen they would have me to deal with." Frankie scoffed before taking a deep breath. "But I don't want to make you worry or ruin your night so...I'll head out. You deserve to enjoy yourself. Do you mind helping me sneak to the kitchen again?"

She was not supposed to be there and yet, Frankie had somehow found her way in past security. Both impressive things, if it wasn't for what this could potentially lead to. "..Frankie, who told you this was taking place?" The werewolf grumbled as she rushed towards him and pulled her aside slightly, to a less lit area where less people might notice them. "..believe me, trouble's the last thing I'd want for you. It might look safe to you here but it's not, Frankie. The organizers are strict." Well..maybe not so much, if they hadn't noticed someone without a tattoo sneak in.

Reed huffed at the compliment, smiling only briefly. "Thank you, so do you..how long have you been here anyway?" How much have you seen, he wanted to ask, but he was afraid of the answer.

She always looked the other way when funny business or odd conversations were happening at the bar. She was pretty good at playing dumb and sometime it was a good idea to be none the wiser. "Is this an Eyes Wide Shut situation?" Frankie asked in a low tone, from the glamourous nature of the party it wouldn't totally shock her. But if it was that kind of a party she would probably need to sneak herself back out quickly.

Frankie noticed his expression change to a smile and she relaxed for a brief moment. "Oh thanks, I thrifted it for like $40, great find right?" Frankie said looking over her red dress, it was probably the only 'elegant' article of clothing she owned. "Um, I dunno, I think like 15 minutes maybe? Despite all the security, getting in through the catering department is the way to go. In case you ever need to crash a party." She sad before straightening up and clearing her throat.

"So...is it like really not okay that I'm here?" The dark haired woman questioned cautiously.

Looking to take a break from the food, music and dancing, the wolf was more than grateful to find an area that seems blissfully calm by comparison as the night progressed. He turned to his company that had joined him for the break, asking, “Where would you like to sit? Pick a spot.”

She moved through the parlor, hearing a voice she turned to see the stranger from the bar the other night. AHH! She thought quickly turning her head away from him as she looked around the room trying to seem distracted. "Oh um...I'm just gonna sit right here." She said still keeping her body mostly turned away from him. She cleared her throat as she fluffed her skirt nervously. "Nice night? Having a nice night I mean? I mean are you having a nice night?"

"You're fine," she assured. It wasn't an easy question but Elizabeth did her best to put her thoughts together. "A bit of both I suppose. I raised all my children here," she answered. There were good and bad memories but the bad ones were what sat at the front of her mind now. There was going to be consequences for her to face, a husband she would likely lose and a family to lose as well.

"I find memories are always happy and sad but they're all part of the story. I do wish my children were still small enough that they curled up and slept beside me. They would all avoid that like the plague now," she added. "So, are you an artist?" she asked, having seen the notebook that she'd tucked away.

"I am sure they appreciate how they grew up." She hummed in a soft tone. She didn't know what else to say, not wanting to pry, or make anything about herself. She liked learning about others, finding connection was always a really wonderful thing, however surface or deep that was.

"That's funny, I'd give anything to go back in time and be playing pretend with my siblings. Adult life can be really hard." Her nose scrunched up as she spoke. Her eyes cast down to her note book and her cheeks flushed a little feeling exposed. "Oh I mean kind of, not really," she waved her hand. "I write songs...or poems from time to time. They are just mostly for me so I don't know that I would call myself an artist really. I think you should probably be bold enough to share your work with the world to be taken seriously, you know?"

Slipping into an empty seat by the bar, the elf watched curiously as a bartender had a very open breakdown about some guy who clearly wasn't worth it. Atlas was fascinated enough that she forgot to order a drink until another bartender stopped before her. "I mean it's a fun monkey to watch but kind of like a zoo, you don't want to take that fun home with you," they answered with a grin.

The offer made the elf's smile widen, a drink had been their original intention after all. "I'm a no fuss kinda guy so I'll just take a gin and tonic, if that's okay?" she asked.

"Oh yeah," Frankie assured them. "More then okay," she said prepping the drink swiftly before placing it in front of her. "There we are, my name is Frankie by the way. How is your evening going?" She asked leaning against the bar. Frankie loved small talk, especially with new people. She had an ability to yap with just about anyone. "Hopefully better than the bartenders?"

"Very impressive, my dear. How did you guess that this is one of my favourites? And you make a mean one, if I do say so myself."

"Something a little elegant and complex without being super pretentious. So I settled on this." She explained gesturing to the drink. "And thank you, I've been doing this a while. Glad to hear I haven't lost my touch. I'm Frankie by the way."
