It took all her self control not to laugh. Given the drama she was about to walk into, her children probably hated how they grew up or at least Gwen would say as much. "I think in hindsight, they might come to see that. Some of them are still very much in the rebellious stage where I did everything wrong," she said, laughing softly. They might have felt that way now but she hoped they would understand she was just trying to do what was best for the whole family.
"That I can agree with. Sorry, I'm sure you're hoping someone older will tell you it gets easier," she said, giving her an apologetic smile. Life never seemed to get easier, even now when she was getting to her later years as a wolf.
"I don't think that makes you any less a poet or writer," she said, her brow furrowing. For a moment, she was reminded of her her son and how he would become bashful about things he liked. The alpha had never had time for the arts but she admired those who could do it and do it well. "I think we probably see about five percent of what art and music is made in the world. The artists are still artists, even if no one else sees it."
Frankie could sense an edge to the woman's words. Frankie gave a small shrug of her shoulders. "Hopefully, time will do it's thing." She noted and gave a small smile. "That sounds really tough," she said as her eyes softened a bit. Her brows knitting together as she listened. It was a story that was just fragments. But she got a feeling form the way the woman spoke, it was a deep and heavy story.
"Truthfully, I prefer honesty." She said simply with a shrug of her shoulders. "I mean, I kind of figured that is life. You never know what is coming." Frankie was no stranger to that, the unpredictability of things. She didn't like it, but she had learned to pivot pretty well.
She felt her cheeks flush a little as she averted her eyes. The idea of considering herself a writer or a poet felt funny in all honesty. "Well I appreciate that, it's a nice sentiment." She said tucking her notebook back into her messenger bag. "I guess I just see it as a hobby for me. And it's not necessarily a bad idea to have one of those right?"
