An adorable house on #longbeachisland that I have ran past for years. This house is a cross over of the original fisherman-esque houses that used to predominate the island and some of the more modern houses that have been built on the island post hurricane sandy. But aren't we all? | Four years ago I saw this print on display in a museum in Amsterdam. Ever since I saw this piece, simple and pure, I have kept it on my desktop as a reminder that we are all "less than perfect" and to strive for perfection is u healthy and unrealistic. To accept who we are and be the best version of ourselves is all we can do. We are all #lessthanperfect and that is not a bad thing. #sydneyweinbergphotography

#teamwork | This photograph was taken when I spent a month living in the small town of Baoruco in the Dominican Republic teaching English and building a school for children in the area with no access to education. Although beautiful, the town I spent my time in was stricken by poverty. Children bathed in the streets, wild dogs and cats roamed the streets and many children had parasites from lack of clean water. While the people live in poverty, lacking basic necessities such as ample food, clean water and shoes, the children find ways to remain positive and have fun.
