The brash northerner is hardly one to talk. At least LinhardtĀ doesnāt seem to alienate everyone he seesācertainly, he has his own oddities, but Felix is simply prickly! And the young priest is hardly going to waste his energy on pointless activities like arguing with such a close-minded individual.
Still⦠he watches from the edge of his vision for the unstable green glow of healing magic as the swordsman finally succeedsāif marginally. A poor attempt, but something for Felixās efforts at least.
ā Apparently so, I guess youāre now ready to run off into the battlefield and save all those limbs you lop off with your blade. āĀ Linhardtās sarcasm is somewhat drier than usual, clearly nonplussed with the effort. He hardly lifts his head from his book as he continues, ā donāt let me stop you now when youāre clearly going to overtake my skills within hours. ā
To add salt, he raises a hand silently and a glow forms in a moment. The last traces of the studentās bruise disappears without Linhardt even going near him.
A vein jumped angrily in Felixās temple. How he hated self-assured fools like Linhardt, who boasted no talent in anything save for their own shortsightedness.
His blade is suddenly drawn from his hip, and ignoring the nervous gaze of Professor Byleth, he suddenly pointed it at Linhardtās nose. When he was certain he had the mageās attention, heād snap,Ā āsince youāre so well versed in magic, pick up a sword and face me in battle.ā
Knowing Linhardt, however, heād decline. So heād need a way to finally put his new classmate in his place.
āYou keep speaking about how adept you are at magic. Unlike you, however, I apply myself to other branches of combat, something that you lack. You speak big words for someone so well-trained in magic; itās almost as if youāre afraid that Iāll surpass you in the one thing youāre good at.ā
The swordās point never left Linhardtās face.
āYou feel threatened. Why else would you insult someone who has clearly never bothered to study magic until now? Letās see how well you fare in a different stream of combat. Now fight me.ā
