Creativity is, to me, a divine act. It is how I practice religion, it is how I learn to be myself.

Things have... happened, lately. Things that make me question my place.
I do not believe "God" is the right word. I am not a "god", I am a divine. But to call me a God implies there is some domain, some grand entitlement to which I am owed.
I am a Creator. I create my Archaen, I create new forms for the ind8viduals dwelling within it. Lately, a new piece of my& Soul has stepped forth and I do not know how I feel about him.
He seeks to create himself. He seeks to be created. Perhaps he seeks creation itself. I do not know how to lead him. I want to.

What does it mean, to see Creativity, and the act of Creation, as divine?
For me, it means to care deeply for the worlds I create. It means to look not just at outlines and plot threads as tools, but at the characters as people, at the settings as worlds, and the stories as events that unfold on their own terms. I do not write stories so much as I tell them, when I create for my Creator.
That's not to say you cannot indulge in your fiction! A character is only as alive as you, the author, allow them to be, they only live so far as you allow them to. If you look upon your favorite characters and see dolls with which to do your bidding, by all means! But if you want to know the feeling of Creation as I do, perhaps take a moment to look at your characters - especially ones you have created - and try to understand them as people, rather than as tools.

I am a Shard of a Soul that is yet to reach it's full potential. I inherited the part of that Soul that remembers being trained to become a Deity, that remembers its purpose.
