What Happened?

Once shit went down, Vanessa fully committed to the resistance cause. Morally grey she might have been once, but there are some things she is not willing to stand by and watch happen.

Loosing Carrie, Ruby, and Karen McReid nearly devastated Vanessa, if it hadn’t been for Tessa’s support she would probably still be hell bent on revenge.

Speaking of Tessa, they got married! It was kind of spur of the moment and very impulsive but once this war started, Vanessa knew that she didn’t want to spend what might be left of her life not being able to call Tessa her wife.

Their wedding was small and low key, kept quiet lest any big bad’s try to interrupt, and it wasn’t the wedding she wished she could give Tessa but one day she will make up for it and they’ll have the wedding of their dreams.

She was out of town when the wall came down, on official top secret resistance business, and now shes stuck, separated from her wife, her home, and everything else she loves.

Her immediate response was to throw every ounce of magic she possessed at the wall, to try to bring it down, create a gap, anything, but all that did was drain her mentally and physically.

She just really misses her wife okay!!!!!!

It’s a gift but I hope it comes off as charming too. [ winks ] That’s fair, it’d take a bold and brave patron to be the first to order up a cup of that. Green goo is either hit or miss. Yes, I love it! Valentine’s Day in Havensdale is gonna be so cute. I’m totally getting ahead of us though, right? We should get through the summer of love first. It’s so weird but I like it. Um, so speaking of Nessy and Isaiah… I have something I wanted to ask you—

It comes off as the perfect combo of charming and smart. Truly, I’m jealous of your talents. I’m the first one to admit that it wasn’t exactly the most appealing looking thing on a hot chocolate, but at least it tasted good. It’s weird that we’re still only in June. Isaiah was having such a great night. Sure, it wasn’t champagne on his favourite party yacht but still. Havensdale still held strong in his heart and he never got tired of all his mom’s friends saying how handsome he looked. What? He did. Of course he was also actively trying to make sure she didn’t scare off Charlotte too much. Who knew how many adorable baby Isaiah photos his mom had in her purse, ready to weaponize at any given moment. Anyway.

Speaking of his drop dead gorgeous date— “Charlotte! Hey, there you are. I think I lost you somewhere between the entrees and Lyndsy McArthur wanting to know where I got this sweater. Tess, hey!” He’d only had to speak with Tessa Thomson all of five minutes to know that they clicked. Astrological friendship compatibility confirmed. “Can’t wait for the big date.         Vanessa’s night was going pretty damn well if she said so herself. Her first ‘official’ Havensdale event as Tessa’s girlfriend and she honestly couldn’t be happier. The wine didn’t hurt either.

She’d been on her way to find said girlfriend after finally spotting her talking to Charlotte, when Isaiah approached the two of them and she heard her name mentioned along with the word ‘Italian’ and hurried over.

“What was that about Italian?” 

Oh, this wine is amazing. Like, really amazing. As in, you have to have a sip. Or a glass. Maybe two glasses? I mean, we need to stay inside because of the rain.

               A..are you offering me wine, Charlotte? Without looking completely terrified? I guess miracles really do happen, huh. [ fills her own glass from the bottle Charlotte had indicated and takes a sip. ] I’m not much of a wine person, but you’re right this one is good.

Melissa & Simon Fox (Witches, married, Paige Turco & Robert Downey Jr) Vanessa’s mom has always wanted more from her daughter. More politeness, more effort, more boyfriends (ew). Mel wanted her daughter to be a mini me, an over achiever, prom queen, married her highschool sweetheart and went to med school. What she got was a disappointment. She’s not shy about giving her opinion, whether it’s wanted or not, some people understandably find her very abrasive. Her own daughter included. Simon on the other hand has always had a great relationship with his daughter, he’s the ‘fun’ parent. Despite being busy with his tech firm, he somehow still always had time for her in ways her mom didn’t. He just wishes she would stop doing so much illegal stuff online.

Tamira & Davon Jones (Witches, Married, Jada Pinket-Smith & sterling k brown ) - Katriel Jones’ parents, highly successful thanks to a number of influential spells (and just old fashioned hard work) Tamira and Davon wanted to give their only child everything she could ever want, regardless of how spoilt she might become. Bad idea? Probably.

Lilian & Jack Howell (Werewolves, married, Uma Thurman & Ethan Hawke.) Camille Howell’s parents, white and upper class, they’re reasonably influential in werewolf society among those who are pro-war. They take the cause of the upcoming war very seriously as they’re tired of being treated as second class and being forced to deny their true nature.

Alice & Patrick Beaumont Sr. (Human, Married, fc TBD) - Ricky & Steven Beaumont’s parents. Poor Ricky is actually a Jr, because of course his dad was egotistical enough to name his first born son after himself. At least he’s not Patrick Beaumont III, thank god. Typical upper middle class parents, Patrick Sr was a high school football star, and to this day insists that’s where his sons get it from. Alice is a good mom, and loves her sons very much and Ricky would do anything for her.

Deceased

Kathy and Sam Fisher (fc: Janel Moloney and Bradley Whitford)- The Fischer parents. Extremely normal. Had the whole white picket fence, two kids, mini van dream life. Still a mystery who killed them and why.

Minnie Torres (human, fc TBD) - Sapphire’s mom, who had her daughter out of wedlock to a man she refused to name. She died in 1951 of cancer, and never knew what her daughter had become.
