if you've been here forever, you may know he started out as a very vague concept ('the bounty hunter') who appeared on human!day and shot verity! he would then go on to get his arse kicked by ruby and ghost.
arjun IS a bloodline hunter but he thoroughly rejected that innate sense to save the world and instead went after his 1 true love...... money <3
somewhere down the line, he hooked up with the then Institute and became a consistent bounty hunter/freelancer for bringing in big bad supernaturals (dead or alive ofc).
he isn't really a good guy, isn't really a bad guy but he is ALWAYS looking out for #1.
truly blinded by greed... but usually VERY good at his job. arrogant, cocky, very briiiishhhh (english lol), a bit of flirt, a bit of an arsehole. that's about all we know about him!!
came to havens before the dome came down on a job to collect a bounty and got STUCK. joined the 'resistance' / institute 2.0 cause there was nowhere else to go and has made it everyone else's problem since. often complaining. often eating other people's yogurt.
connection ideas;
anyone from institute 1.0 could have a history with him!!!

Summary: Joey Salvatore gets more than he bargained for on prom night.
"The story of Icarus is of course a parable about the folly of such an effort. Get too close to the sun and your hubris will get you burned."
Joey Salvatore was under no illusions about the role he played in this town. He was human, his only job was to stay alive. That had been fine by him for a long time. He was okay and more importantly, his loved ones were okay. His family. Joey didn't mind staying on the safe side if it meant they were okay.
Months turned to years, and even he didn't think it was a bad idea when the righteous words of 'we have to do something' filled the room. Joey was only human, but there was no way he was going to let his brother and his--- Keith and Rachel, do it alone. The first couple of times were terrifying. And, admittedly, kinda exhilarating.
They'd be nowhere without Rach, of course. Besides being the smartest person he'd ever met, she was a witch. She could protect them both better than anyone. Joey had learned everything he could about the supernatural, thought up plans and strategies for sneaking out and patrolling after curfew. He'd even joined his useless dad's gym.
Most nights, it was just fun to stay up all night with his two favourite people, feeling like they stood a chance at saving the world. When Robyn Manning reluctantly came on board, things started to feel a lot more real. They felt like they had a real chance out there. Maybe Joey had let it go to his head. Hubris.
When their old high school was suddenly in ruins, the streets were instantly in chaos. Ground zero wouldn't be safe, but neither was anywhere else. If the Resistance was at the heart of the implosion, then who was protecting everyone else? After curfew, all bets were off. Plus... Keith's friends had been at that prom.
All Joey remembered was seeing its looming, dark, figure leap from the shadows towards Keith. His brother. His little brother. Truthfully, Joey hadn't given it much thought when he threw himself at Keith to knock him out of the way and took the full brunt of the wolf's weight knocking into him. Joey had screamed, claws tearing down his arm. He'd tried to scramble away, reaching for the first thing he could and jamming it as hard as he could into the wolf's neck. Everything was a blur of teeth and gums, and the thrumming sound of his own heartbeat in his head. Was he going to die?
And just like that, the wolf was gone.
Things moved in a blur from there. Joey remembered reaching for Keith, he remembered shouts and screams, a warm hand in his. The soothing feeling of magic over his skin while the wounds on his arm were healed. Joey was lucky. He was goddamn lucky.
But... as it turned out, he wasn't that lucky.
It was late now. Keith and Rachel were downstairs, holding each other, while he stood in the bathroom. He ignored the dark circles under his eyes, the cold sweat on his brow, and instead stared at his torso. His shirt was abandoned on the floor and the realisation of what had happened was slowly, so slowly, dawning on him.
Joey Salvatore was lucky to be alive, but he hadn't made it out unscathed.
With shaking hands, he pressed a fingertip to the bite mark on his torso that had healed on its on, more or less. The outline of it still clear on his skin. The truth of it staring him in the face.
