          HARLEY LEANS BACK AGAINST THE COUCH ONCE HE SITS BESIDE her, kicking his feet up on the coffee table littered with snacks that remained unfinished. oh, they’d get to it, though.

          ❝  well, not everyone has SICK SUPER-POWERS !  ❞     he muses back with a laugh at the sight of her ever-casual usage of her powers.     ❝  besides, i needed SOMETHING to do with my big, bulbous brain between projects. i’m sure vehicular felonies on a CARTOON level count for something.  ❞

          her legs lift up,   resting themselves over his thighs,   the warmth   &   touch of his body a calming familiarity.   she’s thankful for these normal moments they share.   after thanos,   he’s become the only constant in her life.

          ‘   you’re right,   your head IS big.   bubbles,   you should get that checked out by a doctor.   though,   be careful what doctor you go to.   you don’t wanna end up some lab experiment where they say they’ll make your head smaller,   but in reality,   they’re not,   &   they keep the big head,   &   you just end up shrek.   ’

          HE GAWKS A LITTLE AT HER, CHUCKING OVERUSED CONTROLLERS in her direction as he feigns an indignant expression.

          ❝  so we’re gonna resort to CHEATING ?  ❞     he teases with an amused grin.     ❝  i’m offended. WOUNDED, even !  ❞

          he manages to elicit a laugh as arms become rubber-like,   stretching quickly to catch the controllers out of her normal reach.
