Fest update, please share! Forward Ohio 2014 is scheduled for Saturday, April 26th, 2014 in Columbus, Ohio. Forward Ohio will continue to not only be a celebration of our involvement in DIY hardcore, but an opportunity to acknowledge and utilize our privilege to be involved in hardcore to help others beyond our community. This year we will be raising funds to contribute to autism awareness and funds to help individuals and families who are impacted by autism spectrum exceptionalities. This year's fest will begin at 5:00pm at Kobo, located at 2590 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43202. The fest will continue at 9:00pm at Ace of Cups, located at 2619 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43202. The two venues are across the street from each other in the North Campus/Clintonville part of Columbus. There are many nearby places to eat, bars, and shops. Come early and explore! We once again hope to not only celebrate DIY hardcore, but to raise awareness, goods, and resources for local agencies that help others beyond our community. Along with offering all ages music, workshops and zine/book distros, Forward Ohio raises money for local non-profits in each host city. This year Forward Ohio is taking place in Columbus Ohio and will be raising money for the Columbus Food Pantry. Like For Real Fest, Forward Ohio doesn’t deal with corporate sponsors or booking agents. We deal with bands directly or not at all. Ticket prices are still low as hell. We expect bands and those attending of the fest to be respectful of each other, the venue and the host city. No racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic bullshit is tolerated.

Hey yall! The fest is next week so we are sending out some parking/directions to get to the Dude Locker. It's an awesome space, but parking is limited and it can be hard to find. Here it is. --------------------------------------------------- There is no access to Dude Locker from Hudson St, even though it has a Hudson St Address. To get to Dude Locker you will either take Summit St going south, or 4th St going north. Turn on Clinton St (it's a one-way) and follow Clinton St until it dead ends into an alley (just past the alley you will see railroad tracks). Turn left onto the alley and follow the alley into a small fenced/gated parking lot and warehouse space. This is Dude Locker. PLEASE NOTE, The Dude Locker parking lot is only open to the bands performing there on April 27th. Fest goers and patrons must use street parking and walk to the Dude Locker. Parking is available on Summit St, 4th St, Tompkins St, Clinton St, and other side streets in the neighborhood. More info on the Dude Locker can be found at https://www.facebook.com/dudelocker.
