It’s rare to see Knuckles and Blaze together, but I wanted to give them a chance. Truth be told, they have a lot in common: serious, loyal, committed to their duty, find it hard to socializing XD…. and both are guardians, of the Master Emerald and the Sol Emeralds respectively. It is true that their first meeting was something ... rough XD, but I think that if they both give each other a chance there is no doubt that they would form a formidable and powerful team. And due to their protective nature I’m sure they have a lot to share and understand each other.

No es muy frecuente ver a Knuckles y Blaze juntos, por lo que he querido darles una oportunidad. A decir verdad, tienen bastante en común: serios, leales, aferrados a su deber, les cuesta un poco socializar XD…. y ambos son guardianes, de la Master Emerald y las Sol Emeralds respectivamente. Cierto que su primer encuentro fue algo… accidentado XD, pero creo que si ambos se dan una oportunidad no hay duda de que formarían un equipo formidable y poderoso. Y debido a su naturaleza protectora seguro que tienen mucho que compartir y comprenderse el uno al otro.

My first attempt in potstickers ! No wrappers sold here, so I made those as well. 😌 #kitchenexperiments #potstickers #fromscratch
For all of you asking me for the recipe - I don’t feel confident at all posting it. This is my first attempt, AND I’ve never had them before (yes, no Chinese restaurants where I live) - so who knows what I’m doing.
I had my second go with the wrappers today, and they’re much better than yesterday’s rectangles :D
Also, everything that wouldn’t fit in the pan - I put in the freezer like this (always separate doughy things!) - uncovered in a plastic container:
And now I packed them to lunch-size (I find 7 or 8 pieces to be the best fit for me):
So yeah, I’m pretty sure I’m not the one who should be posting any dumpling/potsticker recipes :)
For the dough
300 g (2 ½ cups) flour
200 ml boiling water
pinch (or two) salt
In a large bowl, sift the flour and add salt.
Stir in the boiling water (I like to leave it for a few minutes after the boil, then add to flour) using chopsticks or a knife until it resembles dough and until it’s safe to knead with your hands (don’t forget it’s hot).
Knead the dough about 10 minutes, until very smooth.
I found this Dumpling-sisters method to be the easiest when comes to dividing the dough into equal pieces:
Cut into two and form a ring, like a bagel. Cover with cling film and let rest until you make the filling.
Better if you watch their video for details on how to divide and roll the dough then me trying to explain here :D
Oh yes, the dough dries up pretty fast, so I wouldn’t recommend making it ahead, but to fill it up right after rolling.

@foodffs soo just that you know. The way you froze them, the dumplings will freeze together. ☹️☹️😓 You need to freeze them on a tray or in a shocker and then they can go to a bag touching one another. I had similar issues and baking paper did not help either smth with dough touching dough.
@half1house maybe I wasn’t clear enough - I froze them uncovered and separated. The picture of dumplings in a bag was taken when they were already rock-solid. So don’t worry, I ate whole 8 batches with no problem - straight from the freezer to the pan (and not one was sticking to the other) :)

Welp, I gave IDW readers a solid day to see it for themselves before I went and spoiled the surprise. But as a dozen messages I’ve received across social media and a blurb on the Sonic wiki indicate, people have caught a certain little cameo in IDW Sonic #33
That cameo is, of course…
…a Sonic-ified version of my fursona, and her little army of Feroxes
Yes, Evan very generously snuck this in as a nod to my Sonic Chronicles playthrough. Folks were wondering in the Twitch chat if it would be possible for the Sonic Chronicles Chao designs to show up again, and sure enough Evan happened to be drawing a Chao-centric arc at the time, so I guess it all just lined up perfectly. (I’ve actually been sitting on this for two whole months because she had to get my blessing to use my fursona before this made it to print.)
Maybe the best part, which I’m not sure anyone has pointed out yet, is that you can also spot me a second time with even more Feroxes in tow
It’s truly incredible that this is my little mark on the Sonic franchise. This will be my legacy. Thanks again to Evan, and also to Reggie Graham for the stellar coloring!
