EARTHbound
Zadkiel, Zadkiel, Zadkiel... What did she just think when she decided to run off into the blue this time? To explore, she kept on telling herself when she went off on a little 'journey' around. But actually, she just loved to pop up at random times at just as random places. She’d usually stay there for only a couple of days before disappearing as suddenly as she had appeared.
But not this time.
She was not able to zap around. She wasn't able to heal. Straightforward, she wasn't able to do anything. The archangel had lost her powers. All of them. She was merely a human now. But she wasn't alone with this problem. All of her siblings had it. They fell. Unable to do anything. Stuck in their vessels.
The young female, quite tall, long white hair and soft grey eyes strolled around the park she'd found some days ago already, trying to kill time as usual these days. She was dressed as any other woman would dress at this age. Sporty and casual. She had her hair tied back into a messy bun, since she still had some trouble handling it in any other way. But honestly liked it better that way. In a bun or a braid. Her eyes slowly wandered around, hoping to find a little thing, distracting and/or interesting. At least it was quite a nice place to be stuck at. A little park, not that many people, a library and lots of other public facilities. It was truly a nice little city. Quiet, not that huge of a metropolis... just as she loved it.
Slowly leaving the park behind, she directed her walk into the city centre. Hunger had started again deep down in her stomach, one of these feelings she still had to get accostumed to. Her thoughts slowly drifted away, wondering what her siblings were doing right now, or where they were. She wasn't able to feel their presence anymore. A sickening, frightening feeling... loneliness.
As Zadkiel turned around a corner, her eyes everywhere but on her current path, she promptly bumped into someone. At least, it did not cause anyone to fall.
"I-I am so sorry, Mister...!", she forced out, watching the man in front of her carefuly. Did she hurt him? Did anything happen?? "Are you alright?!"Â Oh, how sorry she was. How clumsy of her to not pay attention to where she was going...

I am Adam: Forgiveness is a Fragrance
Zadkiel didn't dare to turn her gaze away from the creature. And she had faced so many of 'em already that she knew, that their words wasn't something to believe in. The phrase 'he deserved his end' made her shiver. Oh, of course... now it was clear to her, even without checking the victim's name, which she would find in the wallet he had thrown towards her and which she almost wasn't able to catch. Perfect, now her fingerprints were all over it. She better kept it with her for now... Slowly shoving it into one of her pockets, she sighed, crossing her arms in front of her chest. "Adam? Well... I met quite some vampires like you... claiming to only murder the ones that -- how did you phrase it? The ones that deserve it?"
The former angel clearly catched herself again, calm and serious as she always was in that kinda situation. She wasn't going to introduce herself -- way too risky -- and she merely waited for a chance to get outta this unharmed. She was the witness of a murder. And the murderer was not of the 'normal' kind. She couldn't solve this herself. And the police would never believe.
"In my opinion, no one deserves a death like that. So your point-of-view on these kinda things are not really appreciated right now", she added with yet another sigh.

New Orleans. A city Zadkiel rarely visited. She definitely had some cities she prefered, but she still had to pop up sometimes. Out of curiousity. Out of 'ugh-don't-want-but-need-to'. She planned to stay for some days -- as per usual -- and she definitely did not plan to literally strand here. Until it went down this exact road... There had been nothing she could've done to stop it. The angels fell, every single one of them. A world-wide meteor shower, humans all over the globe believed. The once so powerful archangel was stuck, stripped of her powers. She couldn't zap around, she couldn't heal, she wasn't almost invincible anymore. She was merely a human. Powerless. Since Zad spent most of her time on Earth anyways, she was used to walking among human beings. But all these feelings were ... overwhelming. She felt the hunger, thirst and pain.
Anger. Loneliness. Fear.
She had decided to take yet another walk outside, her grey eyes watching everything passing her by. So many people she couldn't really handle right now... but she stayed outside, nonetheless. A little distraction would help... maybe. The woman looked around rather often, definitely getting a little paranoid over time. She wouldn't feel anything approaching her before she saw it. And she wouldn't be able to differ between human or demon. Zad risked quite a lot walking around as carelessly as right now because of it. If she ran into demons or any kind of malevolent entity, she wouldn't be able to protect herself. And she wouldn't be able to protect her vessel to which she had sworn to keep safe --Â no matter what. A sigh escaped her as she finally got fed up with walking around, looking for the next way back to her base, a rather simple motel. Maybe if she went off the main roads, she'd get back a little quicker... Sliding away between other rushing silhouettes, she turned the next corner, completely freezing in motion after some moments.
Two men had catched her attention. Not that unusual, if not for... the startling color of red.
Blood.
The amount of it. Zad's gaze was first fixed on the victim, which seemed definitely not alive anymore. The injuries looked far too worse to survive, even from a distance. Slowly, the feeling of complete sickness took over her stomach. She couldn't stand a view like this anymore without loosing a second thought to it. As her eyes now locked on the obvious murderer, it was clear to her, even without her powers: This was not a human she was facing. A human would never be able to inflict such injuries on another human being. Physically not possible. And his eyes... the man's eyes. Black shining marbles... directed at her. She had only waken from her trance-like shock as she had to realize that her presence was no longer unnoticed. Zadkiel took a step back before stopping, her gaze wandering down to the now 'definitely dead' body yet again. The sickness now was quickly displaced with helplessness and anger. Anger over this unpure creature. And anger over herself, not being able to act as she wanted, as she normally did. She lowered her head a little, clenching her hands into fists and forcing herself to calm already. Her grey eyes focused on the vampire yet again. She had the main road right in her back. Would he dare to make another move like he just had...?
