i’m not sure if i am missing something but the amount of times ive seen people play into their master/tool dynamic (a dynamic that neither of them want but are forced into is appalling. if you have any sort of brain cells and can read it should be more than obvious that fuyuhiko clearly values her as more than a person and wants her to think of herself that same way instead of a tool. even before their dynamic is introduced he treats are differently and softer than the rest of his classmates. an example would be how he doesn’t curse at her or refer to her negatively unlike the rest of his classmates (the worst thing he calls her is idiot, after she literally killed someone so there’s a slight reasoning) it is so obvious he views her as so much more than a tool. the who i never wanted a tool speech is more than enough evidence to support this claim because that’s the truth. he never wanted peko to be a tool, her truly wanted her to be her own person rather than believing everything she did had to be for him

i don’t understand why people feel the need incorporate a power imbalance in their relationship when writing romantic content of them, it’s unnecessary, it’s not funny. even if it’s not romantic i still find the power imbalance troupe to be so stupid. i’ve already done a mini post on why i hate when people make the master-tool thing sexual as well, but i think i’ll reiterate it. if you make their dynamic kinky, it completely overshadows the reality of their relationship. it makes it seem like this dynamic is something they choose and willingly partake in which is far from the truth. as i said, neither of them want these roles they were forced into. peko believing fuyuhiko to be her master was not consensual. it was a role she was forced into by the clan itself. if anything, i believe part of the reason fuyuhiko pushes her away initially is to try and force her to make her own friends and have some sort of independence without relying on him to make every choice for her, which would then give them both a break from the master/tool thing

wanted to peko post for peko bday (edit, drawing, new fic chapter) i only finished my crappy edit, kept putting it off, procrastination strikes again atua help us all. lowkey considered breaking the peko streak to post the angie edit im working on but i stay loyal
