I don't get humanity .... Well some of it. The people that say climate change isn't real and totally made up. Are they that ignorant, uneducated, mentally inept ?!?!?..... God I could go on here ..... Where they refuse to look into the scientific data that's being presented ?!!!?!?!?!? I guess it's different when you live in a state that's already having issues. It's really hard to ignore then. California just happens to be one of those states. Let's begin to name some issues. 1: Drought. Snow.... I remb what snow was when I first moved here. How the mountains looks from 100 miles away. How it was driving through them. Come spring time when the snow melted..... Let's fast forward. NASA satellite imagery from 2011 (snow) year over year to 2015 (WTF.... Where is all the snow ?!?!?). When we don't get snow, we don't get water. We don't get water, we have a drought of biblical proportions. What happened when things are dry ?!? FIRE. Some people have a hard time putting this together. They must have failed Pre-K logic. All of Northern fucking California is burning. I have fires going North, South, East and West of me. Smoke every day in the air, can seem the massive plumes from the expressway. I had fires in Florida all the time. Everglades loved to burn..... Ya. Those don't compare to these at all. I'd take those any day actually. The shit out here is just disturbing. It's not stopping. More fires are just popping up daily. I mean. I can't even fathom how this is possible. Northern Cali is just on fire. Everywhere. A state of emergency has been declared. It's bad. I also need to drive North next week. I now have to route my driving with fires in mind. Planning for fires. WTF is this ?!?!? Fires really really love to jump highways here, it's a thing they do... I'd rather not be driving anywhere within their vicinity. So I'll be planning my route with a Cal Fire map Friday night. Hitting up Oregon, Lassen then Yosemite. Statistically speaking. Based off current fire location. I'm gonna be running into something. This is just surreal. God bless those firefighters that have come from all over that are battling the blazes 24/7. The fires this season have sadly already claimed the life of one firefighter. The season is just getting started. If past years are any indication, it's gonna get worse. There was one minor bit of good otta the bad a few years ago. A fire was raging out in Yosemite National Park. So bad it was threatening the Yosemite valley. To anyone that's been to Yosemite, they know how majestic this place is. One of the best parts about this country ..... Hell, this planet. And it was in danger of being destroyed by fire. I can't imagine the Yosemite valley looking like burnt toast. Firefighters from all over the world came together and spent weeks, 24/7 putting out the blazes. And they did. I'll never forget. I was on my way from Sac to Seattle (heading to Alaska) and there were fellow Canadian firefighters on board with us. These poor men were a mess. Dirty as fuck. Had not showered. Slept. Clothing and body had ash. They had just finished putting out the fire in Yosemite and were heading home. Most everyone on the flight gave them our sincere thanks. I mean you can't get more bad ass then that. Also. PLEASE KEEP YOUR FUCKING DRONES OUT OF THE SKY!!!!!! They've had to ground planes that carry fire retardant because drones are flying over the fire areas. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!? Not like they wanna shot it down either. Last thing they need is a spark setting off another fire. SMH. 2: Costal areas. Peace out. You gonna have the same problem Miami is gonna have. Time to start packing 3: Have I mentioned I can't breath ?!? We're having "spade the air days ". AKA. ". DONT FUCKING GO OUTSIDE" 4: I won't even comment on the heat. Over 105 for the day. Multiple days and weeks. Like a fucking oven. "Oh no humidity is worse". I just wanna yell at these people. "SHUT THE FUCK UP". When you have lived in both. Then I'll listen. You don't understand how dry and hot it is out here. You really don't. Have I mentioned the state is on fire ?!? Our poor firefighters are just praying for higher humidity levels to increase. It helps them battle the fire. But once again. Arguing humidity and heat with people ?!? This usually requires a basic understanding of science .... Fucking idiots. I don't bother. You can't fix arrogant stupidity. Ok. This rant all started because I was reading people responding to the Climate Change speech the president gave. Look. I don't care if you're black, white, purple and believe in pink elephants..... What he said is fact. We have ONE home. ONE planet. Are these people aware of other locations I'm not ?!? Are we suddenly colonizing Mars ?!? I didn't know it has an atmosphere that can sustain life. We found a way to get humanity of this rock ?!? Fuck you and your politics. Take your head otta your ass here and look at the big picture. How much long can we keep on with the "nothing's wrong. it's not real" and live in denial ?!? As someone who spends a lot of time outside. I've seen the change year over year. I have mentioned we don't have water right ? As someone who travels and talks to local people - just water coming into homes on a remote island in Thailand now. NBD. It's a problem. But yet. These imbeciles think there is no issue. They must have failed basic earth science and don't understand how things work. John DBag from congress "I'm not a scientist. I don't understand these things"......... They won't notice until they are personally impacted, till it becomes their problem. California has reached that point. Where does the U.S. think a good majority of their food comes from ?!?!?!? Cali residents now understand there is an issue. A big fucking issue. A terrifying one. Kind of hard to ignore it at this point. Silicon Valley has already started the Climate Change campaign. They got the money, they got the visibility. Why the hell not? Hell, Apple has more money than most anyone on Earth. Might as well make an attempt to save the fucking planet. Ok. Rant over. It's just frustrating. This is such a magnificent state and its burning to the ground. It's heartbreaking. Things don't grow back over night either. Will take hundreds and hundreds of years for things to return to how they were ..... If ever..... Humanity is at a turning point. I don't care if the president pissed a lot of people off today.
