"Travel Souvenirs, Volume 3: Boso - Futami" by Hasui Kawase, 1925

The mystery adventure drama Archives: The Nanyang Mystery (Chinese title 南部档案) is rumoured to start airing on 10th June. The drama is part of the Tomb Raider series written by Kennedy Xu and was initially called Southern Anecdote.

The leads are Ding Yuxi and Zhang Xincheng (sharing equal billing) with Jiang Peiyao and Fu Dalong in other roles. Jeremy Xu, Han Dong, Ji Xiaobing and Xu Zhenxuan appear in guest roles.

The 33-episode drama will be broadcast on iQiyi.

iQiyi really are a bunch of scammers! There was a livestream today with the main cast of the drama and everyone expected the drama to air right after, but instead, all we got was another trailer! Not even a confirmed airing date so the guessing game continues.

I have a new theory: maybe iQiyi ran out of money on this project and there isn’t any drama at all, just a bunch of trailers trying to get everyone to subscribe.

All this faffing around is highly disrespectful to the audience, and it certainly isn’t the way to gain/retain any loyal subscribers.

If this is the usual manner in which iQiyi are conducting their drama promotions (yesterday another drama was just dropped out of the blue) it really isn’t any wonder they are in dire straits financially.

The cast and crew of Southern Anecdote certainly do deserve better!
