Prevail

It's been a week. What is real? I'll use my own logic and say, if everyone is fake about the things that matter but honest about things that don't, and I'm the only one authentic about myself, that's enough. I can't worry about everyone else.

They say "we want to get to know you better" so share your story with the team. Some people do and the rest are forgotten. They say "we want to get to know you before the end of our travels," but it's only 3 days till we fly out and leave. They say "we want the 3 last forgotten people to share on our day off at 7 pm," so I consent even though it seems pointless. It's 2 minutes to 7 pm on our last day off but nobody but me and the two others who are sharing are at home. I'm thinking "yeah, you really wanted to get to know me, that's why you made a big deal them never showed up."

Growth is hard and it hurts. Let healing begin.

What do you do when it's hard to say something? My track record has been that I just say it, however it comes out, and people just have to deal with it. Recently things have changed though. I'm not saying what needs to be said. Maybe it's a misplaced sense of respecting others and letting them communicate so that I can understand them... but then they never get to understand me. Maybe it's that I can't even verbalize what I need to say. The argument goes on in my head and I never speak. I don't feel like I need to speak often, but occasionally I do and I ignore it.
