If I die and it turns out God can’t tell me who killed JonBenét, then what was the point of it all???
Hot take: we're never gonna get a conclusive fucking answer because everyone who was in that house would rather die than tell the truth.
Maybe so! Personally, I’m hoping for a deathbed confession
Listen👂🏻 carefully! 📣 We 👨👩👦👦 are a group of individuals 👨🏻that represent a small foreign 🇭🇰🇮🇹🇰🇷 faction. We respect 👏🏻 your business 📝 but not the country 🇺🇸 that it serves. Who do you think killed Jonbenet?
I know I’m the minority here, but atthis moment (and until I don’t get new evidence pointing to them), I doubt the Ramseys are guilty. I think it was an intruder, someone who knew the family and was likely targeting John Ramsey. Idon’t think this person went in the house through the window basement that still had thecobwebs (and so many think that’s proof no one from outside entered the house).Instead, I think they got in the house through one of the many unlocked doorsand windows while the Ramseys were out in their Christmas party, and in themeantime they wrote that ridiculous ransom note. That house was so big andcomplex in its layout, they could have easily remained unnoticed once the Ramseyscame back and get to JonBenet once everyone went to bed.
The issue I have is that I don’t think the intruder avenue was pursued as it should have because the local police got so obsessed with the Ramseys, and so upset they wouldn’t cooperate and the DA would sort of defend them. Boulder police was grossly unprofessional in their handling of the case, not just messing up the crime scene and the evidence, but also leaking false information to the press or not bothering to correct wrong information they were publishing. As thisarticle from Newsweek states: Another seemingly incriminating and widely published piece ofevidence was also misleading. Police found no signs of forced entry, which ledto speculation that no outsider could have gotten in. In fact, law-enforcementofficials told Newsweek that the police knew several windows and a door hadbeen unlocked that night. Two windows were open slightly, allowing electricalcords for the outside Christmas lights to pass through.
There’s so much to discuss about this case, and I know that there are a lot of suspicious things about the Ramseys, but to me it all comes down to one thing. I just can’t come up with a scenario in which any of them killing JonBenet makes sense. I can’t see why they’d do it on purpose, and even the investigators who are convinced of their guilt don’t think so (that whole possible sexual abuse ordeal… well, no one seems to agree whether there was a history of it or not, and even Steve Thomas, Ramsey Hater N°1, didn’t give much credit to it in his book). If it was an accident in which JonBenet was hit in the head, which still seems like a stretch to me in a family with no history or evidence of physical abuse, I can’t imagine how they could go through with strangling her with a garrote and a pretend sexual abuse on top of it. Surely they didn’t need to do that as part of a kidnapping staging? And same with the whole theory of “Burke did it”. Unless Burke is such a psychopath that he killed his sister on purpose, garroted and sexually abused her, I can’t see any logic in his parents going through all that to cover it up when surely a tragic accident between young children would have been easier to explain without all that circus. Not to mention, if your 9 year old killed your daughter, would you send him to your friends’ house unsupervised where he can spill his beans? Very unlikely, unless he’s a master criminal.
On top of that, if the Ramseys had killed JonBenet and wanted to pretend she had been kidnapped, it really doesn’t make sense to me that they would leave her body in the house instead of taking it somewhere else, where they could have stalled the police for longer and confuse the situation even more.
As for the ransom note, I’m aware that at first look it’s similar to Patsy’s handwriting, but I have a degree in handwriting analysis and it doesn’t work like that. You need a lot of elements that most people aren’t aware of to match handwriting, and it’s almost impossible to fake a different handwriting. From the samples I’ve seen, there are several elements of Patsy’s handwriting that don’t match the ransom note (can’t say for sure because I’d need the original sample, but the fact that most experts that saw the originals said it was inconclusive is very telling).
Lastly, the fact that two great investigators witih vast experience like Lou Smith and John Douglas were convinced of the Ramsey’s innocence after analyzing the evidence and talking to them says a lot to me. Certainly more than the opinion of an investigator who’d never had a murder case before this one, or of those who’ve only looked at the case from afar.
The day someone shows me some evidence or at least a theory that makes sense as to why they killed her and how it all happened, I’m more than open to change my mind. But at this point, I really don’t think there’s enough for me to believe the Ramseys did it.
