taking a moment to appreciate that i escaped from it all. as broke as i may be i'm away from my family and doing alright. i still need to get some things in order but i don't want to lose sight of the bigger picture which is that i'm freeeee

can actually make a decent brown sugar shaken espresso replacement with store bought blonde cold brew, oatly, homemade brown sugar syrup and a little bit of cinnamon

hmmm very soon im going to build a brand new roach oasis for my hissers. their enclosure recently developed a mite infestation which triggers badly when it gets the slightest bit of moisture and I'd like to get a fresh start and a bigger tank for them anyways since they just had more babies. I've got pond foam to carve them a wall, ledges and hidey holes. going to try pothos in there with them to give the tank some greenery. hopefully it goes to plan and I'll post pics :)

my own crashout aside... dogs are great at their own language. they have communication skills and interpretation of senses we will probably never fully understand ourselves. human syntax and experience is not the final frontier of communication. the ancestors of dogs didnt have the same evolutionary pressures or need for verbally complex communication skills we did and they're clearly great at their niche. we are entire orders apart unlike speaking humans and nonspeaking humans.
