it was some kind of conspiracy, she deduced, that made people in this town friendlier as the weather got chillier. it was as if they knew sheโd prefer to be without their company that made them all the more eager to insert themselves into her solitary narrative ( something she was typically good at maintaining ). sheโd only just narrowly escaped the clutches of a chatty group of church ladies when she fell into step by adam.ย โย friendly โ wasnโt the word sheโd use to describe the relationship between the wolf and the witch, butย โ hostile โ wasnโt right, either.ย โ considerinโ half this town doesnโt know how to operate a computer, iโd say your prospects arenโt so bright. โ leaves crunched beneath the soles of her boots, serving as pleasant enough background noise in the otherwise still autumn air.ย โ though, i will admit, your conditions are pretty much cornerstones of my personality. โ
if there was a few thingsย adam loved - the pretty little wolf girl was able to cross them off. she was beautiful, shared his type of humor and most importantly; actually giving him the time of day.ย โ arenโt you suppose to be in before the moon comes out or somethinโ.ย โย adamย teased.ย โ if you need somewhere to go, my doors always open.ย โ he wasnโt exactly sure why he was flirting with her. it was just one of his many unneeded traits. but it was also his way of easing into an actual conversation if his partner decided theyโd stay around for more of his bickering.ย and truly, he did want her to stay. not for potential kisses or to take her home. but because lately, heโd been feeling a little left out of simple activities and getting more attention had become an everyday part of his to-do list.
