All jokes aside Sigrid, the artist, puts out some really high quality work out there. I stumbled upon her work by complete accident, and I was totally shocked at how high quality her work was. As the name implies she does lesbian romantic stories, and goes through them episode by episode on her website. The stories and the characters are all much higher in tier than you expect from your average pulpy lesbian audiobook. She’s a super talented voice actor and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed listening in on her podcast. Recently she’s had to dial back on her work due to lack of funding, she provides are awesome work for free and relies on supporters to put out her content. So if you like hearing about lesbians and would also like to support independent artist at the same time please consider listening to her work and donating to her cause. A scene I sketched for an animatic I was thinking of putting together.

I mean we never technically saw how they entered the prison tower (Though I assume either a bridge or elevator?)

I don’t know if I have the required talent to make an animatic, but it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while. However, I’m stuck to a mouse and keyboard. So when it comes to these digital drawings it adds years to the process. But who knows, I’ll slowly whittle away at it and see if it turns out something decent.

“Flowers” “For me?”

I just wanted to point out a moment in Change Your Mind that, personally, hit home for me. It’s the moment where Steven is confronting Blue Diamond inside the prison tower.

“This isn’t normal.”

“How many times did you lock here in here? How many times did you make her cry?”

What Blue says next is what got to me.

“I-I didn’t I...”

“...I’m doing it again, aren’t I?”

Listen, I don’t mean to get too personal here, but as someone who was emotionally abused by their mother that line is like a punch to the heart. There were many moments where my mother would say something awful to me only to have a moment of self reflection afterwords, and apologize while berating herself for doing it again. It was a cycle, she was in pain and plagued by mental illness and couldn’t cope so she’d lash out at those closest to her. She felt awful afterwards, but fell right back into it taking it out on me all over again. I’m not excusing what she did, but looking back on it I can realize that she didn’t say those horrible things to me because she was a bad person, and she didn’t say those things because she hated me, she said those things because deep on the inside she was suffering and she nor our family could acknowledge our problems and try to work for a solution.

When Yellow and Blue finally acknowledged how not only had they hurt Pink, but they themselves were hurting as well and their family needed to be fixed, it meant so much to me.
