If anything is good enough it can become a hyperfixation. And ‘good’ can mean anything. It can mean fun, interesting, cute, creepy, funny, so-bad-its-good, i-dont-really-know-but-it-gives-me-that-good-feeling, or any number of other things!

I never know where my next hyperfixation is coming from, but the feeling of being sucker punched by complete and utter attention-sucking adoration of something manages to surprise every time.

To reconcile for this, here is a picture from the cover of an Animorphs novel.

It’s not even so much the sadness about the site itself but the way that Griffin solemnly thanks his yahoo buddies who have been sending him yahoo answers questions for years is so sad.

I cannot handle Griffin saying, “This is one of our last ones, this one sent in by Level 9000 yadrew drewid drew davenport, (pause) thank you, Drew.” His tone of voice is so sad and its like he’s saying goodbye to his lifelong friends for the last time and it is adding so much emotional weight to the shutting down of this very mediocre website.
