mementos is dark, and though you have no problems with it, the humans you’re with - the children - might do. so you’re sticking with them, help them out whenever you can. the phantom thieves might technically be working in opposition to you, a section of the police, but the shadow operatives have generally been neutral in all things. crime is not your area. shadows and personas are.
there’s one down here today: the one they call fox. he carries something, you think. he carries something heavy. you’re sure you hear his stomach growling in the darkness. you trot up behind him, eyes shining like lamps.
“are you hungry? fighting shadows is hungry work.” not that you would know.
of course it was ill advised to be alone in mementos / yet there you stand anyways. & what a strange world this is / even now , despite accepting it all to be truth ( it certainly is surreal / such mystery that you could only wish to tap into ). though you try / to paint the conflicting feelings concealed within this dark & twisting place. nothing comes alight / it is all , but a garbled mess. though perhaps / that in of itself would mean you depicted it perfectly ( yet not to you / those paintings held no meaning / no emotion ). you decide to give up for now / you hope to one day find the true beauty lying here.
& it is within your thoughts / do you fail to realize the undeniable fact that you were starving. however / this is not news to you. it was only a fact / for whenever was there ever a time that you did not crave for food ? you simply had gotten use to it / it wasn’t a good thing ( however it was all you could really do / you were poor after all ). there’s a voice that brings you back to reality / robotic in tone ( it must have been aigis ). it seems she had caught on to your hunger / you wonder if your stomach growling was louder than you knew.
