I have no idea... I imagine Adia would enjoy spending time with someone very analytical; and his insults and trying to get under her skin wouldn't rile her up (unless he started insulting her relationship with her father lol). It would probably be a fun time for both of them? Or at least I hope so. @midday-headcanons would probably be able to give you a clearer picture as to how Dion would get along with Adia. But for Adia's part, she sees someone who could be an asset, and someone who says things straight without being too emotionally invested (at least to her interpretation), which she often thinks of as a failing of hers. She would probably envy his detachment.
Hey, I know that guy! I can give some added insight on this one.
Dion would absolutely be interested in her magic and tech knowledge, especially since it seems to be an incredibly rare power that only the Vestra family seem to have access to at the moment. He already has a talent for black magic, and if Agarthan magics can make him more effective still, he would readily accept the opportunity to dive into such dangerous territory. That kind of risk could never be boring.
I don't know how easily Dion could get one over on someone like her, in all honesty. But I do know his usual modus operandi. He is not above poking the proverbial bear that is Adia's relationship with her father or her dual nature if the juice is worth the squeeze, however, namely if it means he gets access to some part of her that is otherwise off limits to others.
For example, what would happen if he pushed just enough to see the Agarthan within peek through the cracks just a wee bit more? Would it be a greater asset than Adia herself or a sandbag? Or, if he was able to do so and it was worth a try, he could consider driving the wedge between her and Hubert further, strategically placing himself in a position where he is the sole holder of the rope should she fall off the deep end in her desire for innovation and need someone to pull her up -- or at least to talk to.
"You've gotten this far already, and look at what all you've achieved. Do not concern yourself with the opinions of those who prefer blissful ignorance to understanding. There is yet more to come, dear Adia, and I think we can accomplish things even greater than this, you and I. Trust in me, as you know I trust in you."
If he found the opportunity, Dion would be the devil on her shoulder. For as long as she interests him, he will cooperate and even play "nice" in whatever way that means for a guy like him. Again, that entirely depends on if there is an opportunity to try.
Oh I love that idea! Him poking at Adia's relationships and trying to see what Agarthan experiment she did (and who she partially body-swapped with) is such a fun idea.
I think she might eventually crack and get enraged with him - it would probably take time to soothe that bond, but Dion could manage it. He understands and needs her anyway.
Adia and the being would absolutely value Dion. His talents remind her of her own father - the way he can pick until he understands a person like a puzzle is something Hubert can do (as the adrestian secret service). And Adia values that immensely.

i wanna see lowena and fionn be buddies!! Also Ernestine and Edwin hanging out in a forest lol
Lowena and Fionn would be such good friends. They wouldn't have much time to spend together in Scortched Glades, but in Opal Spring, they would have fun tea times together; discussing Brigid and Fodlan poetry, and the history of coats of arms and knighthood.
Ernestine would be such a good big sister/ older friend character to Edwin, helping him pick fruits (he's too short to do it without climbing trees, and Ernestine doesn't feel comfortable having to catch him when he falls (again). They could spend all day in a forest together, hunting, clambering, and observing. They find a lot of good wood to chop too!
thinking about baby edwin and midday's baby fabian having a tea party in the forest with mud pies... maybe just bc they're both redheads with scars but i wanna see them get along! edwin is bad at axe but fabian is good at axe! edwin can take fabian on adventures in the sunshine and fabian can clean up after whatever messes happen! THEY BALANCE EACH OTHER OUT YAY!!
I think I massacred @midday-headcanons' boy (the doodle does not show off how cool he looks) but they would probably get along? I imagine that they'd enjoy trips in the wood together! In a battle they'd balance each other out - they would just need a magic unit to round out the two of them!
*busts into the "why is kypha's middle name anne" debate ten minutes late with Starbucks* I UNDERSTAND NOW! KYPHA'S MIDDLE NAME IS ANNE BC HER MOM IS MERCEDES!!! SHE LIKES PRAISE AND SINGING BC MERCEDES TAKES HER TO CHURCH WHERE THE CHOIR IS A THING AND MERCEDES NATURALLY PRAISES PEOPLE!! SHE HATES SINGING IN FRONT OF PEOPLE BC SHE HAS HIGH STANDARDS DUE TO THE CHURCH CHOIR HAVING SUNG FOR AGES AND HAVING LESS EXPERIENCE THAN THEM!!! SHE HATES CRITICISM AND SWORD TRAINING BC MERCEDES IS BAD AT BOTH THOSE THINGS!!! SHE'S BAD AT RIDING AND AXE BC MERCEDES HAS A NEUTRAL RIDING PROFICIENCY THAT'S A PAIN TO LEVEL UP AND MERCEDES IS BAD AT AXES!!! SHE'S GOOD WITH SWORDS AND LANCES BC (NOT ONLY FELIX HAS SWORD PROFICIENCY BUT ALSO) THE DEATH KNIGHT IS HER UNCLE!!! AND NATURALLY MERCEDES WOULD NAME HER KID AFTER HER GAL PAL ANNETTE (and Annette would totally be the godmother)!! IT ALL MAKES SENSE!!!
is adia good at politics. Or is she too socially awkward from holing up in the lab and studying dark magic all day long. 🤔
Adia would like to be good at politics - maybe then she could persuade the emperor to give her more funds for her research 😂
In all seriousness, she is far more invested in her research than in politics and has no time or energy for it (not to mention she is not particularly skilled at it). Adia is absolutely too socially awkward: blunt, sometimes cruel, but most often has no time for other people.
The being she has accidentally partially body swapped with does have an interest in politics though...

i have visions of Edwin going back in time and hanging out with Lysithea and Petra in the unofficial "what do you MEAN they're the same age (15)?!" club lol
Absolutely! What do you mean these are all the same age?!
Anyway, they'd bond over generic 15 year old stuff, like school, and wonder why no-one looks the same age as them lol
FIONN ADIA IS BABY... SHE IS YOUR WEIRD BABY SISTER (bc that comment "it would've been better for his mother if he'd never been born" HUBERT AND PETRA HAD TWO KIDS THAT MEANS HE IS THE OLDER ONE) 😭😭😭😭😭
He would actually the younger sibling! The comment "it would've been better for his mother if he'd never been born" is because he feels like it would be cruel to think that about any of his other siblings, but - at least in the bad ending of Hubert and Petra's relationship - he would 'know' it was true for any of the children.
Adia as a younger sibling would be a good dynamic - but Fionn is the youngest (so far in the design process, this could change) of the Black Eagles children at the moment.
"Leonie's son? Well Edwin is energetic, boisterous, speaks a lot, and tries to have good manners. He's kind of an open and shut kid. Did you know he's 15 years old? Certainly doesn't look it!" - Azin von Reigan
Likes: Tea, Mud, The Smell of Leather, Forests, Parties
Gameplay Notes: A pretty average unit, with a pretty average growth rate. He's not got a lot going on but is a fairly solid unit on the battle field. His crit rate could be fairly high is levelled up enough! A bow knight or lance related riding unit could be a good class for him.
Design Notes:
We had a doodle session together to design him - probably a year ago now - and came up with this. From this point, whydoihavetopickaname just ran with it and created him!
Fionn wants to be more "serious" in scorched glades. He's fairly preoccupied with the political dependance his nation has on the empire, and the perilous situation he views Brigid in (although it's complicated, but he views it in a pretty black and white manner). So he wants to seem intelligent, mature, and dangerous. He can't pull pranks and have fun - he has to be strong like his mother. Someone that the Empire would fear to cross when he became king.
He's a little more able to prank and have fun in other routes, where Brigid's independence is certain. Because although Edelgard has discussed Brigid's independence with Petra, the Fodlan Empire is expanding outwards. And Brigid is a very small island.
Maybe he'll pull pranks on people he really trusts in scorched glades' supports, but he would rather be assessed as an asset to the empire and a danger if crossed than a person.

i'm really curious what fionn's relationship with hubert is when hubert "closest you can get to imperial power without being edelgard" is his dad. and how that interacts with his desire to fight back against the empire for brigid lol.
OK. So there are lots of vague or interpretable paired endings in three houses, and this is probably one of the most interpretable...
I'll be doing one 'positive' and one 'negative' interpretation. I hope that's ok!
(as an example the idea that the marriage was "as part of that agreement" for Brigid's independence could be both partners were willing to marry, and wanted to; backed up by "others insist that it was of their (Hubert and Petra's) own accord" - But it could also be both partners were forced to marry (Dorothea's c support with Hubert, Petra's home hanging in the balance); backed up by "some say that the marriage was purely political, ordered by Emperor Edelgard")
Let's get into this properly!
Good Version:
Hubert and Petra have complicated romance, and that is reflected in their children's relationships with each other and their parents.
Petra negotiated a diplomatic relationship with the Empire, and Edelgard suggested (as a joke) that Petra could take her best advisor as a husband. Petra, with Hubert's agreement, actually put it in the treaty. Edelgard checked with Hubert before signing; and thus they married for "'political"' reasons. Hubert thought that this was possibly the best joke that Petra had ever made, and Edelgard told that story at their wedding as 'the most unusual proposal she had ever witnessed'.
Busyness meant that Petra and Hubert had to live separately fairly often; much to both's chagrin, but they made sure that their children could live at either Nuvelle, Brigid, or the Vestra estate. They both made sure every one of their many children had visited Brigid.
Fionn fell in love with Brigid when he visited for the first time, and made full use of every opportunity he had to stay there. Adia was less thrilled with it, and far preferred the high tech of Agartha and the excitement of Enbarr.
After learning about what happened to his mother in her youth, and learning about the continued expansion of the Adrestian Empire, Fionn decided that Adrestia and Brigid ought to have another treaty. One which made certain that Brigid would never be invaded. When he tried to get into the political scene at Enbarr, he was mocked and viewed poorly, because of his - as others called them - "ethnic" tattoos. He began hating Enbarr and their prejudices.
Fionn loves his father, though struggles to get to know him in a deep way, due to being separated for much of his childhood. He is pretty pleased about how high-up his father is in the political food chain, due to his goals for improving Brigid/ Imperial relations.
Hubert loves Fionn. He loves all of his children. He starts by viewing them as assets and distractions, but during the time spent raising them he discovered how much he loved these tiny people. (though he did not play a massive part in Fionn's upbringing because when Petra lived separately, Fionn stayed with her). (this is identical to the 'bad version' relationship for Hubert as well)
Adia likes Petra, and thinks it's fun to know about hunting and Brigid, but much prefers Agarthan tech and Enbarr culture. She refused to get any of the Brigid tattoos or sigils - mainly because of the magical implications. If they did have genuine use in magic, that may impede her experiments. And no matter how much her mother says that it will help and protect her, she refuses to allow Petra to give her any Brigid tattoos.
Petra loves Adia. She is completely torn up about what Adia has done to herself, and that creates a strain on her romance with Hubert, but she still loves her. She believes that there must be a cure or something for Adia's condition, and is trying to learn more about Brigid magic for Adia's sake.
Bad version:
Petra's grandfather and Petra negotiated a diplomatic arrangement and Brigid became the empire's ally. Petra was forced to choose between marrying for love or saving her home. She chose the latter.
The arranged marriage and subsequent children were the result of Hubert following Edelgard's orders, and Petra agreeing for the sake of her people. She was queen only in name, and both were unhappy. They made the marriage work - pragmatic as ever - but there was rarely any actual romance.
They had a rocky relationship and often lived separately; in Brigid or in the Vestra estate. Their children were allowed to pick the parent to go with or to stay in the Nuvelle. Fionn chose Petra, Adia chose Hubert.
Both Fionn and Adia only tolerated each other. This was exacerbated by regularly not living in the same house.
Fionn views his father with distain. He is a lapdog to a xenophobic hegemon in Fionn's mind, and it would have been better for his mother had he not been born. He despises the empire more than he would do otherwise, because his mother was forced to trade her freedom for her people; and what sort of ruler does that to a so-called friend - that fought in her war and helped her establish her continent wide empire?!
He now is trying to fake a better relationship with Hubert, to get him closer to the imperial centre, and to get a better standing with Wilhelm and Edelgard. He will use his situation to his advantage, and negotiate better terms for his nation.
(this is identical to the 'good version' relationship for Hubert as well)
Adia doesn't think much of Petra, just in general. She knows Petra is her mother, and knows they have a relationship; but she lives mainly in Nuvelle and Enbarr with her father. They have a pretty reasonable relationship when they do meet, but Adia knows Petra is her mother for political reasons; and doesn't think that Petra could ever love her truly... It pushes Adia to "gain" Hubert's love more - because she wants at least one parent to care about her.
Petra views Adia as an expression of her own bad decisions. Her daughter has experimented on herself to the point of being unrecognisable to uphold this empire that Petra soaked her hands in blood for. Her daugher is a casualty of Petra's willingness to sacrifice morals, values, herself, and her love life at the feet of an empire and Brigid. She still loves Adia, but is so sorry that she had not been born into a different time.
I know that was super long, but it was good fun to write from either perspective of the ending! Thank you for the ask :)
kinda puzzles me about why fionn hates enbarr when the adrestian empire isn't even there in the other routes. Surely the other United fodlans are doing something else with it...?
Yeah, Enbarr is still a thriving city in other routes as well (Dimitri and Claude refuse to kill citizens or burn houses when Edelgard puts them in the line of fire during the invasion of the capital (oops on Edelgard's part)), so it seems likely that they keep it pretty well established (maybe shaking up the nobility a bit, but the nobility have already been totally shaken by the war so there's not too much reform to do). So Enbarr is still going.
It's not Enbarr as a place itself that Fionn hates, it's more the concept of it in his family history.
Fionn knows his mother was a victim of client king style kidnapping - by people who cared so little about her, that they didn't teach her Fodlan's language and just mocked her for not knowing it (Dedue and Petra's hopes support). Obviously this isn't touching on Petra's relationship with the other Eagles, since they only meet her at the academy. But, all in all, Petra is a political hostage who isn't cared for or looked after, and is isolated. And Fionn has heard these stories in snippets - Petra probably doesn't say much in detail to her son about that - but for example, when making sure that Fionn can never loose his royalty by tattooing a ring around his neck, Fionn would probably ask about that, and hear some disturbing things.
He hates Enbarr because that is the place that brought his mother so much pain, and separated her from her family and home. He loves Fodlan - his father has to be from there (or have lived there willingly for some time) But he does not like Enbarr.
