eunseo was born to artists who moved around a lot ( primarily lived in sk and the us ), and he was born in los angeles, ca as a 97 liner with an older brother named daehee, who he is very close to ( and for some reason feels the need to baby )

he was born into a very creative, open-minded family who encouraged their children to be whatever they wanted to be and do whatever they wanted to do and supported them regardless, pushing them to be the best they can be, and eunseo discovered at a young age, he had a strong passion and interest in dance which led in him beginning to delve into his interest in dance as a child, and that hobby soon blossomed into a full-on passion for him, beginning to pursue it further

when he was seventeen, he participated in a model contest, and for the talent portion, performed a dance performance, and in the end placed first. entertainment companies were present at the event, and afterwords, eunseo was offered contracts by a few different companies to become a trainee for them, one being wonder records, which his brother was signed to, which prompted his decision to sign under the company that year

before debut, eunseo was promoted by wonder records quite a bit, appearing in cfs and other artists’ mvs, which gained him a lot of attention from the general public. he trained for about four years before seeing debut in wonder records’ 2016 boy group legends, and debuted as the leader, main dancer and lead vocalist. he wasn’t the eldest, but was chosen as the leader for his maternal, caring personality, known for being particularly hard-working, selfless, passionate and dedicated, being branded the ‘mom’ of the group

there’s no tragic backstory to him.. he’s just a soft, loving, pure angel who loves and wants to be loved, puts everyone else first, and never has a bad thing to say to or about anyone

one. who are your role models?

‘ i am quite fond of most of my seniors. i’ve been looking up to all of them as i grew up. but some artists i’ve particularly been a fan of lately are sirens, polaris and halcyon. i’ve had sirens’ music on repeat lately. ’

two. do you have any nicknames? if so, what do your friends or family call you?

‘ i don’t really have any nicknames. i’m not someone who goes by many nicknames. i don’t even go by ara except for performing. sometimes the members call me mom though. ’

three. what are your favorite foods? what would you recommend to fans?

‘ i’m particularly a fan of bulgogi and samgyeopsal, but i’m not very picky. i will be happy with anything that is offered to me. ’

four. what are some places that you would like to go but haven’t been to yet?

‘ i think mexico is very beautiful and i’ve always wanted to go, so i hope to make it there someday. i think latin american culture is very lovely. ’

five. what would you say to a fan who is struggling?

‘ please take care of yourself. i know things get hard, but there are people to talk to and healthy ways to channel your negativity and pain, so please take good care of yourself and keep fighting. surround yourself with people who care about you and your wellbeing. ’

six. are there any languages you speak besides your native tongue? what other languages would you like to learn?

‘ my parents did a lot of traveling so they made an effort to learn new languages, so they taught me a little of this and that, so i know a little english and spanish. ’

seven. what are your three favorite songs at the moment?

‘ as i said before, i’ve been listening to a lot of sirens lately --- i love girl groups. particular favorites of mine are 10 seconds and girl’s heart. i’ve also been listening to happiness due to their recent comeback. i’m quite fond of kingdom come. ’

eight. did you always know you wanted to be famous as a child? was your family supportive?

‘ i had never initially planned on becoming an idol. i was still kind of considering my options for my future before i became a trainee, but my parents were incredibly supportive the entire time. even before i considered it as an option, they were supportive of whatever i wanted to do for my future. ’

nine. why did you decide to become an idol?

‘ it took a lot of thinking after i got the offer from wonder records to audition. i wasn’t sure it was what i wanted to do, and didn’t think i was experienced at all as a performer, but i thought i’d give it a chance since i do love performing. ’

ten. where do you see yourself in 10 years from now?

‘ i hope, in ten years, legends are still together and all seven of us are still friends and still close. i hope to be doing this, and with my bandmates for as long as possible. ’

eleven. what is something no one knows about you?

‘ i can play a few instruments. since my mom is a musician, it was something that always followed me so they taught me a little bit of this and that. i’m pretty good at the piano and violin --- which is what my mom played --- and i can play a few other instruments a little. ’

twelve. describe your family. who are the members in your family?

‘ i have my mom and dad, who i’m very close to. i don’t have any siblings or pets --- but at least i have the legends members, who are now my brothers. ’

thirteen. how was your childhood? what was it like?

‘ it was very creative. i did a lot of artsy things growing up because that’s what my parents were into. eventually, i gravitated towards dance so that’s what most of my childhood consisted of. i did a lot of it and did some travelling with my parents throughout my life, which made it very exciting. ’

fourteen. if you weren’t pursuing the path to fame, where do you think you would be?

‘ i kinda wanted to be a teacher. i don’t know if that’s a path i would’ve actually pursued, but i think it would be a nice setting for someone like me, and i would fit right in. ’

fifteen. write a message to your fans — what would you like to say to them?

full name is ji eunseo / stage name is ara

stage name comes from the warrior from armenian mythology who was known for his beauty

he had originally wanted to just go by seo but he was given ara for gaining attention predebut for his beauty

he goes by eunseo for the most part n mostly just goes by ara professionally

his parents are both artists .. to be specific his dad is a sculptor n his mom is a violinist

they pushed eunseo to be open-minded n creative growing up which is how he got into dance

he is suuuuuper passionate abt dance it’s like his favorite thing in the world n even if legends aren’t practicing or promoting ,, he’s probably trying to get into the dance studios , looking for any reason to dance

his hard work, determination n passion is a big reason he was made the leader of legends

the other reason is bc he was totally the Mom Friend of the trainees in wonder records

he is entirely too selfless n compassionate n is always taking care of everyone around him n puts others first n Loves People
