duri had decided to visit his uncleâs and auntâs cafĂŠ on that particular day, as he just really wanted to see them after a while, and show his face around the cafĂŠ. being there was always a comfort, even when excitement would raise to everyone that was sitting in there, considering knightâs duri was in the building. he entered, before going up to wait in line to get a coffee. however, he notices a familiar face as he got in line. âah, arenât you one of the gold star trainees?â he asked curiously, his normal smile beaming some more. âget whatever you want, itâs on me!â he said.Â
âhow are debut preparations coming?â duri asked, a bit curiously, but also ready to hear any concerns as they stood in line. duri was always a listening ear, always there for people to lay out whatever they needed. but, he also was curious on how it was going. he could remember his own debut preparations for knight, being so incredibly nervous, especially with the fact that his training period was rather short itself. but, he also knew that it definitely had to be a bit hard currently, especially since it looked like the members of element were redeubting - as could be gaged from the performances at the triple fantasy fest.Â
they reached the front of the line, where duri had greeted the cashier by name. âdo you want me to tell your uncle and aunt that youâre here?â they asked. he nodded his head, âah, yes, but tell them they donât need to come out right away.â he said, before turning to seojun. âhave you decided on what youâd like?â duri was probably just going to get his regular.Â
it honestly felt as though everything was still settling in with seojun. being told that he was going to debut, moving into a new dorm and losing his grandmother all within the span of a few weeks had left his head spinning round and round and he was still trying to process what he had been through in such a short amount of time. of course he was absolutely ecstatic at the prospect of debuting, but that excitement and desire to debut had dwindled drastically in the wake of his grandmotherâs passing. he had been trying so hard not to let himself get too emotional or upset, because if that happened then he knew for sure that he wouldnât be able to keep himself together any longer.Â
instead of wallowing around the quicksilver dorm, he decided to go out to get a little bit of fresh air and some coffee. he found himself awkwardly standing in line at a random cafe he had come across just walking through the streets of the city. and he was quite surprised to see one of his seniors waltz into the place - obviously he knew the owners, maybe even was related to them. his assumptions were almost confirmed when he told him he could have anything heâd like.Â
âYup, thatâs me. Seojun. Itâs nice to meet you, sunbaenim.â He bowed his head slightly, before glancing at the menu. âTheyâre coming along alright. Weâre actually about to go to Los Angeles in a few days so we can train at a dance studio. Iâm definitely looking forward to it. Itâll be nice to go back home for a little while.â Then he heard what the cashier said and his earlier thoughts were confirmed. âYour aunt and uncle own this shop?â He asked, before nodding. âYeah, I just want an Iced Americano with a pastry or something sweet.â
