i feel like so many problems could be avoided if we'd all just genuinely and actively listened to children. i feel like so many kids would be so much happier and not have so many problems if a single adult gave them the safe space and attention they deserve. i once heard that children are one of, if not the, most oppressed ages because nobody believes in their autonomy. adults are kids' biggest advocates. validate kids' feelings. when they said something makes them sad or uncomfortable, listen to them. they deserve to be heard.
