There are some things in life you’ll never get used to— like always having to say goodbye. I am pretty sure that anyone in an LDR with their family / friends can relate to this, but as a kid I never envisioned “goodbyes” becoming a ritual or routine with my family or friends back at home. Whenever we see each other, a goodbye is always expected and my heart always hurts when I am with them because I know our physical time together is always limited. That’s just a part of life and growing up— but I don’t think it’s something you need to get over. I think it’s okay to never get over the fact you are sensitive about your time with your loved ones simply because it shows you care. To this day I still get emotional in the moments I see my family get further away into the distance as I line up to take the plane, and to this day, I still feel my heart drop when I get in a car and see my friends shrink into the horizon. Even though it makes me feel like a giant baby, I will still let myself cry (no matter how much it makes me want to punch myself). LOL.

They call it the whoosh bottle. It’s been three years and Flint is still suffering from water crisis. You might have forgotten about this, but people are still living there , trying to survive, because they have nowhere else to go and nobody cares about them. People are still there, children are still there, who need to get an education and it’s not easy to study, when you are forced to live in such conditions when even washing you hands is a problem. Little Miss Flint is doing more for the city than the officials responsible for the crisis- she is inspiring people not to give up.
