Flying Flitwicks

When you are attracted to people, it's because of the details. Their kindness. Their eyes. The fact that they can get you to laugh when you need it the most.

That last part…this addition in the script would have actually been so close to their book canon counterparts. It reminds me of this moment from the books in DH (which was also not included in the movies…)

“Harry Potter closed his eyes for the last time as his life left his ruined body. And in a far away place a set of striking green eyes flew open. Devastated at the death of her truest and closest friend, Hermione Granger vowed to spend the next 90 days doing nothing but grieving for both her own loss and the loss of the life Harry had earned with his final actions. The Weasleys had left her well alone after her vow, so when someone knocked on the door of Grimmauld Place she was very confused. When a redhead shot through the freshly opened door and started shouting for her lost companion, her confusion doubled. “Where is he? I was told this is his home. I know Sirius left everything to him. Where is he?” The woman advanced on Hermione but she was unable to speak. The eyes looking at her frantically she had seen before. Not a week before she had closed them for the last time. “WHERE IS MY SON!?” Hermione broke out into painful sobbing as Lily Potter stepped closer. Her arms encircled the broken girl as the truth finally clicked in her mind. All those strange comments. All the odd looks. “He’s dead?” Her voice was dull and lifeless. All strength it had once possessed whisked away like the soul of her boy. The crying girl in Lily’s arms nodded as her sobs became heavier and Lily tried her hardest to comfort the girl now that the world she had hoped for had been cruelly taken from her once more. “Fuck that!” Lily shouted making the girl in her arms step back in shock and look at her affronted. “I’m getting my baby back, and you’re going to help me…” Lily stared at the girl, the question evident in her gaze. “Hermione.” She offered almost silently, sniffing softly as she toyed with something on her hand. “Hermione Potter.” Time travel AU where Lily’s soul was trapped in Harry’s body providing the protection. When he died it was set free and ended up back in her magically preserved body. With Hermione’s help, she travels back and raises hell with all those who failed her child, and helps him realize a long life with his new wife.”
