❛❛ until a month before the story begins, she used to worked at the prestigious goodlam psychiatric clinic. when a patient with acute psychosis attacked her, audrey had to defend herself but the authorities didn't seem to believe her version of events. as a result, she lost her medical license and left to find a new job. ❜❜

❛❛ malek spent his childhood in a very secluded, calm, and beautiful place. as a baby, he never cried or tried to attract attention. he always loved to observe: nature, animals, people. and even when malek learned to speak, he still preferred to listen. to entertain her son, his mother often told him real stories about people's destinies. and although malek thanked her for each one, he liked the ones that ended tragically the most. ❜❜

❛❛ the entire church had gathered inside the church, with some members holding guns as everyone was forced to drink from cups. audrey didn't want to drink from it even though her mother insisted she had to, or her father would make her. audrey had noted that many members who had already drank were already 'sleeping peacefully'. ❜❜
