Isla was walking down the road, wearing a suit in the questionable weather in London. Her boots softly hitting the puddle of water as she walked to her apartment.

As she arrived there she noticed that the door was already opened and she rolled her eyes , already knowing who was in her apartment.

"For crying out loud Violet close the door when you enter,one day you will find our things being stolen."

The fairy made an disgruntled noice and walked towards Isla. It was shocking that the fairy followed Isla to London , and that she was chasing the train.

Since her exile Violet has taught herself to cook, clean and earn her keep with her stay with Isla.

"How's was work, you left the blue brat there ."

"I have you know Ms Violet that I am programmed at Isla's watch so you can't get rid of me."SAMI piped out, the hologram of an owl coming out.

Violet groaned out loud and walked away towards the bedroom.

They share a bed because Violet refused to sleep at the couch and that Isla was too stubborn to chase her away.

"It was filled with paperwork and paperwork. What did you do?" Isla asked, already knowing the answer.

"Well there are black spots on the ceiling."

Isla rushed to the bedroom, dropping the PUB watch on the floor .

As we went there she was met with Violet in a silk gown.

"Where..."

Violet walked towards Isla, her swaying her hips as she walked.

"Come here."

"I don't... Violet why?"

"Surprisingly I gained feelings for you."

"Violet you tried to end all of fairy kind."

"Because I wasn't given the recognition I deserved. You my little butterfly taught me that being simply kind is was more."

"Violet I don't get you."

Violet's wings came in view and flew to Isla, grabbing her from the ground and up,near the ceiling because Isla thought it was a great idea to live at the top level that has high ceiling.

"I want you idiot."

Violet kissed Isla and it was beautiful.

Violet poured every feeling that she had in order to drill it in Isla's head that she has feelings for her.

"Oh ."

"Come here."

so! i've come to the conclusion that you people click play on the episode and then take a nap, walk your dog, chat with your neighbours, before hitting complete episode and logging onto tumblr to bitch and crib, because this simply cannot be the same book we're reading. i actually feel like i'm going crazy when people call pub a high stakes fantasy, or isla incompetent, for mind you 1. not physically fistfighting an irish mythical horse 2. not calling for backup from an agency that she just discovered lied to her about the risk factor of this whole case

and this isn't even considering how NONE of this is the point of the book. you're not here to live out your sexy romantasy fmc with a sword and a badass quip with a faerie king husband, the whole theme of this book is finding whimsy in your daily life that you've forgotten in adulthood and work. jack could not have made this any more obvious if he livestreamed himself with a board around his neck saying TOUCH GRASS AND SMILE ONCE IN A WHILE. it's not like you were promised high fantasy and had this sprung upon you mid book, we see from the very first scene isla is introduced to us in that she's a workaholic. i know themes and ever thinking beyond white man 1, 2, 3 aren't particularly encouraged here but surely you must at least be able to guess an mc can't begin the same and exit the same without undergoing some kind of change by the events occurring throughout the course of the story

as easy as 1 + 1 it's LITERALLY spelled out to you over and over again in her inner monologues yet people will still complain about the very actions that serve the theme. how dare isla have a chuckle while she has fairy wings and is flying through the night sky as if she hasn't gone through her entire career working with the supernatural but never allowing herself to feel the magic? really, how dare she laugh at all when she should be practicing boxing in the woods at the crack of dawn to prepare fighting the next thing orion sics on them?
