You're awareness.
What does it mean?
If you believe you're a human with a life, let's try this: From when you were a kid up to now, what can you say about awareness? Did the awareness grow up? Did it get older? Did your "ability to be aware" change in any capacity? (Is it harder to be aware of your life/surroundings/etc than before?)
No. It's the same awareness.
When you go through grief, or intense emotions, what's happening to awareness/your ability to be aware? Is the awareness of "your" grief grieving? Or is it just...here?
It's just here. Grief is here because there's the awareness of it.
Good. Try it with anything, if you want. When you run, is the awareness running? When you're sick, is the awareness of that event sick, too? When you're scared, is the awareness scared? What does the awareness of all these events do?
Nothing. It's just here. It's always here, unchanging.
Exactly. Awareness remains untouched. Understand, accept, and stay with this truth. It is you, after all.
Alternatively, as you seek for yourSELF and wait for an answer, is the awareness (of this seeking/wait) also seeking and waiting for an answer? Or is it just... here?
What does awareness do while "you" seek and wait?
Turn your attention towards this awareness/nothingness... Understand that THIS is what you are. And be surprised at how fast your understanding deepens.
