our anniversary didn't exactly go as planned (8 months btw woohoo)
I planned this whole thing.
we were supposed to meet near our school and go to the botanical gardens at 2:30 in the afternoon because there was this butterfly show that lasted like an hour.
then we were supposed to go get coffee and and walk around looking at street art.
it was labor day yesterday, so most of the coffee shops and diners were closed. so I sent a dm to the coffee shop I wanted to take him to, asking if they were going to be open the next day, and they said yes.
I even woke up early and got some homework done before going.
My outfit was cute too :)
And then, when I arrived at the bus stop where he was supposed to be at... he wasn't there.
"huh... no messages.... I'll wait 15 minutes"
20 minutes passed and I decided to go back home, not even worrying about who might see me crying on the bus ride back to my place.
As soon as I arrived, I got off my outfit and threw myself on the bed, hoping to get a really good cry out of this whole situation.
But then I checked my phone and saw like 30 messages and 2 missed calls from him.
"THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING, THIS HAS TO BE A NIGHTMARE OR SOMETHING"
I got mad at him, still are a little tbh. But he had a good reason for falling asleep. And I'm not mad that he fell asleep... I'm mad that he didn't tell me "hey I feel like sleeping a bit" so that I wouldn't worry or even go if he didn't show any signs of life ... but oh well, I went, he didn't, I got mad, got back home and found thousands of messages from him, trying to make up for it.
He begged for a second chance and created a simple plan out of nowhere. He picked me up at 3:30ish and took me to the park for a little while. We went to the fountain and made a wish as we tossed two coins (like we usually do when we find a fountain... which is also the reason why we have no money) and then we had something to eat at a fancy tea house.
We talked things over after the whole situation. He was indeed sorry and I could tell, and I wasn't making it any easier either. But he was persistent, and that's what I was hoping for :)
I can tell he cares, even if he's a bit clueless or silly at times. I'm glad we always find a way to fix things in the end :)
