Two Sides of the Same Coin

“Well, I miss my family,” she offered softly, “But honestly, weather wise, this place isn’t much different. “Oh wow!” Lavinia gasped, “New York? Is it wonderful? I’ve always heard it’s such an amazing place!”

Sadness crossed pale features, twisting at the girl’s words. “I’m s– sorry to hear that. That must be d-difficult,” she murmured, lips pursing. 

“That sounds so lovely. What is your favorite part?”

Lavinia wiped her eyes again as Charlie disagreed with her, but suddenly his tone seemed to change a little. “Well I…I didn’t mean to upset you,” she offered with a small smile, “It’s just how I feel. You’ve been such a great friend to me. So, yeah, I do think you’re that great,” she said with a smile, tucking her hair behind her ear softly.

“Y-You didn’t upset me, I promise~” He said pulling his face back into the smile he had before. His time here had been crazy, the people he got to meet were amazing, are still all bloody amazing. But still. Having to deal with certain social interactions, having to say something meaningful and good even though he fucking sucked at shit like that. “I’m only this nice to you because your are as nice to me Lav. A good friendship takes two people not one.” Even though you would always have that one person that isn’t as good at keeping a friendship up than the other. Normally that would have been him. The one that had to be called asking if he would like to hang out instead of the one calling. Always having time but never thinking ‘let’s get some coffee with-’ “It’s all a matter of feeling comfortable enough to keep on trying.” He muttered softly. 

  At the point of the argument they had gotten, Noah was seeing red. The sound of the girl’s voice was distant and fuzzy, a scream of frustration seething forth from her lips as her purple spine hit the stone wall. Kicking toward the other, Noah released a shocked gasp and a small sputter of gasps, eyebrows cinching in anger. After a few moments of silent dangling and rough insults being thrown her way, her airways reopened and a deep inhale filled her throat once more. Pale knees buckled beneath her but the support of the wall held up. Momentarily, the blonde considered allowing her to walk away. Momentarily. Rather than following through with the best possible option, as soon as the other’s back was turned, a stinging pride swelled up within the narcissist, propelling her to her feet as frail hands wrapped around the tubing of her drip. “Bitch!” The word ripped through her, roughly slipping the curled tube over the other’s head before pulling it taut against her neck.

“Of course I am serious,” she said with a bright smile, tapping on the bed again. “Well, that depends a lot on you, but I can think of some very sexy ways to make it up o you,” she smirked, rolling her tongue across her lips.

Jean couldn’t help but find herself smirking a little at the words despite her annoyance. Her gaze moved to her lips. Was this some kind of weird game or was she genuinely crazy? Regardless, Jean supposed she would find out. “Show me then.” Jean said, moving over to sit down.

“Did I stutter?” Carrie sighed, lord this girl was dumber than rocks. “I have to cancel it because it’s not for me and I have no intention on going,” she said, giving the name of Lavinia’s therapist.

“Only if requested, baby,” she giggled, rubbing her hands over her pigtails and she moved further into her room, settling herself on the bed, patting the spot next to her. “C’mon in. Tell me a bit about yourself.”

Was this allowed? He still wasn’t sure what all the rules here were, but hesitantly took a step into the girl’s room, looking around as if a venomous plant might jump out at him. So far, so calm. “Uhh, I’m Devin… I got here like a week ago, and I’m not that great at talking about myself. What’s your name?”

“Clearly not from you,” she huffed, though took it upon herself to enter the room and start going through things. “I need to cancel an appointment. Are you capable of that or should I wait for someone who graduated from second grade?”

“Oh c’mon, Jeanie, what’s got you so bent out of shape?” the blonde asked sweetly, patting her bed next to her, an attempt to beckon the other one in. “C’mon, come tell me all about it.”

“Are you shitting me?” This girl clearly had more issues than she thought. First, she’d thought she was nice and hot and fun and then she’d gone totally psycho and now… she was fucking normal again? “You are what’s got me bent out of shape.”

Tears were falling as Lavinia’s panic continued, worrying about what she had done and who she had been and every other nervous thing she could think of. She shook her head fiercely, “no…Noah was so…so mad at me. I don’t even remember…” she trailed off. “She came at me, telling to leave you alone. And then I just…” she didn’t remember what happened, which only meant one thing. “I don’t want anyone else to get hurt,” She cried, “please tell me I didn’t hurt her.”

The boy slowly got up from the stool behind the piano. Not taking a step closer to the girl just yet. She needed to calm down first. Or at lest enough to decide if she wanted him to still be near her. With the shit Noah pulled on her, he could understand if she would never want to talk to him again… “Noah is a bit crazy, that’s why she’s in here you know… Because we are all a bit crazy. She- She is just a bit overly protective and very fucking scared that I would leave her…” A small sigh escaped his lips. If the blonde Britt would only know how much he fucking loved her and would never ever fucking betray her. It was just ridiculous. “It’s fine relax. You are fine and so is she.” He couldn’t get himself to lie to her. But to be honest it wasn’t Lav that hurt her it was Carrie. “You didn’t hurt anyone Lav~”
