HE IS A PATIENT MAN when it comes to the youth of the city. He remembers what it’s like, running wild and answering to no one, to taking to personal hobbies in favor of understanding responsibility.

Of knowing that sense of freedom. He misses it, but he does not envy how undeniably lost he felt once, when nothing satisfied him and he couldn’t find a sense of direction.

That had changed a long, long time ago.

“that’s fine,” he begins, taking a seat beside the young boy, but giving him plenty of room to move away. As ironic as it was, when Jim was this young man’s age, he didn’t like the police either.

“if you remember anything though, let me know. i just want to help.”

        It’s not that he didn’t trust or like the police officer, he seemed like a nice enough person; it was just that he didn’t want anyone to know about the ‘secret project’ that he’d been working on, because he was sure that it would get him in trouble. At least, that’s what his older sister would have him believe. Instead, he blinks a few times                      trying to remember something, anything about the man; something that would help locate him . . . nothing, nothing that wouldn’t give his secret project away . . . damn.

“ THAT IS NOT WHAT I MEANT ”

    she cants her head slightly, eyes turning to glance at his tool box. from the size of it, she can assume that he has the essentials, at least. “Alright, then we need to get to work!”

    she glances at the younger, her eyes lighting up at the idea of tinkering. it has been some time since she has done it herself, but it is like riding a bike. one always remembers. “Do you have the proper tools?”

    This was not the strangest accounter she had had that day. In fact on a scale, this was pretty damn normal for Gotham City. A giant robotic dog roaming the streets. ‘ I haven’t – but I can help you look? ‘
