couldn't sleep last night because i found out a friend (whom i've been in the same class with since elementary) committed su*cide and i haven't really spoken to him in years since the pandemic (because people drift into their own directions in life and that's okay) and i honestly still don't know how to feel. i'm probably still reeling from shock because it's just unacceptable to me. he was generally known as a troublemaker growing up but whenever i spoke to him during recess he always had this twinkle in his eyes and he'd always flash a big smile whenever he'd talk about his dreams while we shared whatever inkling of biscuits and crackers we had every break. i even lent him books a couple of times. i know he's been surrounded by some unsavory influences the past few years but i could always tell he was carrying something heavy whenever i saw him, it's always in the eyes. my very last interaction with him was a year ago when he recognized me when i passed by his room in the hallway and i kiddingly told him "i can't believe you still remember me". considering i just went to the funeral of my friend's mom last week + the amount of shitty people in my class breathing down my neck it's just been unbearable recently. i just want to graduate. but anyways if this ever comes across your feed, especially if you're a moot of mine on here, please take care of yourselves. i might not discuss personal things here often, but seeing your posts just makes me breathe easier. ❤️‍🩹
