like i’ve never watched a show that has had such a unique concept before like the plot is so cohesive but unpredictable and the themes are so interesting. and usually when you make a second season its like a little shit from a bhutt but it genuinely makes so much sense with the plot. like you start out with Near Death Experiences and captivity and you’re working your way back from the past through storytelling in the present. and you figure out that these NDEs are somewhat spiritual but also transport you to a different dimension temporarily and the main character OA is the original angel. and to fully access that dimension it requires beautiful body movements and so this present storytelling is a way of recruiting people to do these movements because OA got left behind and it works and the school shooting is like barely even a major plot point but she gets transported because of the faith these random people had in her. and then in the second season you have parallel stories its about navigating a new dimension but also with the OA gone from the old dimension you have to find ways to retain that faith. and its about the ocean and the trees and the wind and connecting with nature spiritually and octopuses and tentacle sex a little bit and eyes and seeing and religion and solving puzzles and dreams and technology recreating natural processes and whats fake vs reality and it incorporates all of these ideas so seamlessly and the ending is this metaverse breaking the fourth wall almost about the actors playing themselves but still being a part of the story and it has soooo much potential. like ugh its so fucking amazing
