Making Up For Lost Time

Nerves weren’t exactly something that Jackie had to deal with a lot, but she couldn’t help but feel a bit nervous now. A lot of it stemmed from the idea that Johnny might not be around for too long. He said he didn’t plan on leaving again any time soon, but there was something in the back of her mind that made her doubt it. Regardless, she was looking forward to spending time with him after his long absence. As soon as she saw Johnny, she smirked, setting her hands on her hips. “I almost forgot how much I liked to see that handsome face of yours.”

Johnny sent a grin and a wink her way, never being one to thank a person after being complimented. “You won’t do much missing anymore”, he said, planting a soft kiss on her lips. He wasn’t planning on leaving any time soon, but Johnny was never one to think before carrying out his actions. Being a hot head and all, he acted upon instant feeling without any thought to much at all. Johnny gave her another grin as he extended his hand out for her to grab. “Shall we?” he asked playfully.

Jackie took his hand, lacing their fingers together. “So where exactly are you planning on taking me, hm?” She didn’t know what he had planned, if he had anything planned. There was a pretty good chance that he was just going to play this all by ear. Then again, perhaps he’d surprise her by having everything set up ahead of time. “Whatever we’re doing, I hope it involves food. I’m starving.”

Johnny smiled and said, "it's a surprise, I can't tell you." Johnny was never the type to plan ahead. He was most certainly making this up as he went along, and that is what he was good at. He grinned, almost mostly to himself, when she mentioned how hungry she was. Johnny was hungry too, and he quickly came up with a plan as he kept leading her down the street. "Yes, it definitely involves food cause I'm just as hungry," he laughed.

[Smiles slightly] Good. And you owe me a date after all of this.

[pulls her in for a tight hug, lightly kissing her forehead] A date it is!

[Wraps her arms around him] I really did miss you.

I missed you too [lightly rests head against hers and sighs]. I'll make this up to you.

[Watches him for a moment] Okay. But this is the only chance you’re getting.

[Slowly curls lips into a smile] I promise you, I am not leaving anywhere anytime soon.

[Smiles slightly] Good. And you owe me a date after all of this.

[pulls her in for a tight hug, lightly kissing her forehead] A date it is!

You’re not planning on bailing again randomly?

No. I’m not going anywhere and I’m not bailing again.

[Watches him for a moment] Okay. But this is the only chance you’re getting.

[Slowly curls lips into a smile] I promise you, I am not leaving anywhere anytime soon.
