Im so sick of all the neon hate, people saying its a girls car and all that crap. Okay YES a LOT of girls own them and YES the car does look like its smiling, why is that bad? You know how many girls I see EVERY DAY driving, wait, brace for butt hurt, CIVICS, and yet, NO-ONE DAAAAAAARES call THAT a girls car. Well you know what? Back in 90 and up to 05 neons where packing a nice 132hp motor as a base, wich by the way delivers a nice kick. Folowed by the RT and the SRT-4 wich could very easily over power the matching year Si, not that anyone wants to go there, and im not just beating on honda kids, the srt was and is terrifying across its entire class. They are VERY aerodynamic thanks to their cute design. And although the car is infamous for stupid things going wrong, you think other cars aren? Cause its chevies and fords that I usually see in shop parking lots waiting to be put back together WAAAAAY more than neons. And I bet a dodge neon repair bill is cheaper than a jdm counter part. Again not to be bearing down too hard on honda kids but halve of the hondas I see are all stanced to the point where I hope mommy and daddy are paying for the tires too, or at least the 1/4 of it your using, armed with enough non performance stickers to be in a 5yr olds colloring book if not for the content and farting louder than a fat man on his way out of taco bell but still managing to sound more pathetic than a lawnmower engine thats running out of gas. My neon, with its small 2.0 growls to the envy of all my friends, we're always saying it sounds to good for the car. Listen I know there's faster cars out there. Cars with better mpg and a clearer stereo. But ill drive my neon till it dies, only to resurrect it one day. Cause while you guys with your stanced out swag machines dub your way down the road ill be proudly driving my low but not stanced, growling, american made, dodge neon. 20 years from now, it wont be the civic, the carolla or the ellantra the kids are scrambling through junk yards for, all those 1.lates will be rusting away while the 2.Go dodge neons, the muscle cars of the future in an age where cars are all hybrids, it will be our cute little girls cars that are blowing past the prius and other electric cars. One final thought. remember when you were a kid and when you'd see a cool car, your mentors would tell you to smile and wave and say, nice car! Cause I do, and I still do and its something ill never forget it. Respect, its a two way street we can all drive on, and it doesn't matter what you drive, maybe ill see you there.
