What do you keep thinking about , what is going on in that mind , what are you hiding behind that pretty face and sly smile . I’ll never know

Are you a hopeless romantic , or overly practical , or simply dead on the inside. I’ll never know

What are your intentions when your steady eyes graze me from top to toe , when you let me hug you like I’m your girlfriend , or when your strong hands grip my hips and there is not an inch of distance between our bodies , when you let me drive on a bike ride . I’ll never Know

When you intertwine your hands with me on long walks , when you lock your eyes with me from a distance . When you simply care for me with all your heart , what meaning do these gestures hold . I’ll never know

When you skip movies for me , or tease me to death . Why did you run after my dad to ask about me after my accident , why did you say you missed me . And why did you pamper me with so much attention when I came back , and trust me with your personal stories . What do you really think of me . I’ll never know 

Was I wrong to think that you liked me , was I wrong to have proposed to you , only to hear you say no . 

When I needed space and tried to avoid you , why did you keep hounding me with your phone calls and more cynically your thoughts , did you fear losing me. I’ll never know

How can you be so normal , how can you pretend like nothing ever happened between us . 

Why won’t you blatantly define our relationship , who I am to you . Why do you hide your feelings to the point where even your body language  is so controlled. Are you afraid of falling in love , or aware of the hurt it might bring and afraid to fall again . Why are you so much of a mystery . I’ll never know
