Jemma watched him in a coma during the 9 longest days in her life and eventually thought leaving was the best choice for him. She tried to off ward and largely can be because of what he did to him. Fitz then spent months searching the ends of the earth and rescued her from an alien planet. She risked her life to save him from an evil robot and plugged herself into an alternate reality and even pointed a gun at his father in the framework. He froze himself 74 years into the future to reunite with her and saved her from kasius. After he died, she traveled across the galaxy for a year until she found him and even sacrificed herself to the chronicoms to be reunited. After taking some years to rest together, when Jemma went back on the final mission she wore a implant to block the memories of him and their daughter to protect him and potentially risking her mind being messed with in the process. They wont create another ship like them <3

It wasn’t just another sweet romantic declaration. He knew what it was like and he was not only scared of losing her but he was also scared of what that would do to him 😭 That scene was so significant in so many ways, now I’m even madder that it was deleted 😐

Oh god honestly I most immediately thought of Jemma at Hydra & Jemma on Maveth when he said this and it didnt even occur to me that he LITERALLY LIVED A LIFE WHERE SHE DIDNT EXIST and has the EFFING MEMORIES of that terrible horrible reality. God dammit this hurts.

hes always been a good person and he got deeply traumatized by everything hes gone through and ended up hurting a friend in the process .Which he never had the intention on doing and some people treat him like hes a villian who wanted to on purpose.
