Pretty simply either the taxes are tyrannical or you’re representing them as such anyways. You don’t evade taxes for hoots, either the taxes are evil or you are.

When I said argument, I didn’t mean in a negative fashion. I meant that you had set up an impressive and logical rebuttal to the proposition of taxes being possibly evil. I appreciate very much when people have intelligent debates over the small minutiae of world-building and other things. There is nothing to apologise for.
