Throw everything into a blender (I use a vitamix…best investment ever) just add enough coconut water to make it thicker than a smoothie. If it’s a little runny just add some ice. Put into a bowl then top with shredded coconut(unsweetened), drizzle of honey, sliced banana, berries, chopped almonds, pretty much anything you want! Stay away from the granola to keep it gluten and grain free. Soooo good!

One of my go to breakfast and snack ideas are green smoothies. Super easy to make. You can even make it the night before and grab it on the go. Juicing is another good way to unlock a lot of nutrients and antioxidants in our veggies. It's natural medicine! I would not recommend as a meal replacement though. That juice isn't going to fill you up. duh! I'm on a huge pineapple kick, they got a giant frozen bag at Costco for like $7. Steal! Tropical green smoothie 1 Banana 1 cup of pineapple 1 tbsp of coconut oil/ or coconut butter (this is what will help keep you satiated) couple handfuls of baby spinach 1/2 cup orange juice 1/2 cup water handful of ice Blend that ish up and add a little more water if too thick. Put it in a wine glass to feel fancy. Boom. oh and serves 2. My favorite juice combo 1 bunch of kale 1 large beet or 2 small a few carrots 1 lemon ginger---maybe like 4 inch nub. Half an apple. Serves two also. You gotta add the apple even if it's a small amount, especially to really green juices. It'll help make them more palatable. Now go and make good choices for breakfast!

Yesterday Crossfit Intersect did a hero wod called Murph. Named after LT. Murphy, a Navy Seal who died in combat. It consisted of a mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, another mile run. It was my second time doing it and it was just as brutal as the first. Every time I wanted to complain I thought of those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom. It is so awesome to be surrounded by friends who share the same dedication to health/fitness as I do. These people are some of the happiest and friendliest people I have ever met. People like to say crossfit is a cult like it’s a bad thing, a cult of awesome/happy/buff/healthy minded individuals sounds cool to me! I love working out/dying on a daily basis with all of these other crazies.

I stole my mom's mandoline slicer and I don't think I am going to return it. Check out my zucchini noodles I may with it yo! You can make any pasta dish low carb friendly by doing this and I swear you won't even miss the real thing. I whipped up a quick meat tomato sauce using cevapcicci (croatian sausauge/meat made up of pork/lamb/beef). I even snuck some carrots, spinach, and the extra zucchini into my sauce. I used my immersion blender to break up and veggie chunks. Yes, I sneak it in for myself. Never been a veggie person. Thanks Dad! Heck if you're craving some alfredo use these to make it a little healthier. You just want to heat up the zucchini in a saute pan with some grassfed butter and garlic. Fyi be careful while using a mandoline, I had some close encounters! Make this for an easy dinner, even my hubs approved.

These sweet potato burger stackers are super easy and extra yummy. All I did was cut up a real sweet potato (not one of those yams, these are actually yellow inside) into 3/4 in slices. Coated them in coconut oil and salt/pepper baked for about 20 min. @ 350 deg. Made simple burgers with 80/20 beef, salt/pepper, dash worscestshire, some dried onion flakes.....pretty much whatever you want. Pan fried them with bacon fat. Made a simple pico de gallo with tomatoes, cilantro, garlic, jalapeno,onion, lime, little salt. Then mashed up an avocado. Stack all them babies up and voila. Heaven in yo mouth. 

Also make a bunch at night so you can eat it for lunch the next day!

Now obviously this doesn't cover everything, way more things are going to kill you than those hydrogenated oils you're ingesting. However, it is a cool infographic and answers your basic "Is this paleo?" questions. My husband and I have been eating paleo for over a year now. I don't like to call it a diet because it's just how we eat now. We are by no means crazy strict, we are only human for gosh sake. We are such foodies and love eating amazing food! In the beginning we were strict though and you kind of have to be (with Sunday cheats days to keep me sane). It is definitely a shock to your system once you cut out the processed crap. Think of how hard your body is working on a daily basis to breakdown all those horrible things we eat. The first couple weeks you will feel grumpy and a little tired....well at least I did. Your body has been eating a certain way for sooo many years, it takes time for you to adjust to eating clean. I used to crave carbs like a mad man after workouts or that scary time between lunch and dinner, my body was literally addicted to it. Now, I no longer have those hunger pains for bread or a tortilla post working out. We have adjusted our bodies to run off of healthy fats for energy as opposed to those bad carbs. Once you reach a certain weight/body goal then you can maintain the 80/20 principle. Where 80% of the time we are paleo. Now put down that lean cuisine you are eating for lunch and eat something real!
